Anyone watch this series? It's one of the "Big Three" when it comes to ARG/Multi-Media Horror Stories. Obviously Marble Hornets is basically the King of that Genre, but EverymanHYBRID and Tribe Twelve aren't that far behind. I'm still in the 2011 part of the story(that's actually a lot farther than it sounds since the series slowed down with content since 2011 and the Seven Trials Story-line since from that point onwards it's a lot more cinematic and more things happen when they do happen), but it seems pretty great so far.
The basic story is that a group of three friends, Evan, Vinnie, and Jeff, start a channel called everymanHYBRID, with the idea being that it will upload videos showing your average Everyman how to be a Hybrid of good health, fitness, and positive attitude. To get attention, they include some poorly executed Slenderman Easter Eggs. However, their little prank opens the door for the real thing to start stalking them. They soon discover a tumblr blog called "Can You See the Words?" run by a girl who goes by the name "Damsel". She's been haunted by "Man" since she was a child, and she talks to others who have experienced the same thing on her blog, trying to help them. Both EMH and Damsel are sent strange coordinates and messages marked by purple duct tape leading to boxes with phrases like "Feed the Habit", or "Rabbit or Habit?", or just "Habit" scratched into them, containing letters from a Dr. James Corenthal who treated four patients back in the 70s named Evan(going by the nickname, "Habit"), Vinnie, Jeff, and [REDACTED].
I don't want to say anymore about the story because doing that would go into spoiler territory, but it's really interesting and manages to balance all of the different storylines and monsters in the series pretty well, and it's a lot bigger on characters than MH is, which is ultimately a benefit. It's kind of confusing to watch because there's the EMH youtube and twitter, the CYSTW blog and twitter, as well as the boxes being uploaded on the personal youtube channels of fans, and some videos being lost and only available on the wiki.
If you want to get into the story, I'd highly recommend the timeline from the wiki, Here: everymanhybrid.wikia.com/wiki/Timeline_2010
Even though it is confusing the keep everything straight at times, I'd definitely recommend it.
