Would you say the game is better then what Telltale can do? No. As bad as Season 2 was, at least there was always a memorable moment, a funny line, something. Life is Strange is just a chick flick. Not an entertaining one at that. Not to mention, as bad as Clementine was, she was a million times more believable than Max Caulfield. Make sense to me, and just because it's a chick flick doesn't mean it's bad, everything else on the other hand... is quite damning.

Nah, I'll keep going. I mean, up until Episode 5, not a single episode in Walking Dead Season Two mattered, but I played the whole thing(then again, I bought the Season pass sooo...) Still, even if it ends up being that choices don't matter that much, I love all of the characters, lack-luster voice acting for some aside, I liked the writing, I like the style that it has, I'm intrigued by what's going on in the story, the mystery as far as the supernatural element, and some of the not so supernatural mysterious, as well as just what's going on with all the little sub-plots with the characters, and I absolutely love the art style. I'd give Episode One.... 8.5/10? Writing was good, but there were a few bits that were kind of rough, and, again, kind of lack-luster voice acting. Along with that, it was just far from perfect even if those two problems were solved. Still, I'm looking forward to the rest of the Season, and Episode One was quite good. I'd definitely recommend it... to certain people at least. I definitely don't think it would be for everyone. I get the feeling that you might like it. Episode One is only $5. Would you say the game is better then what Telltale can do? Depends. So far? Uhh..... not really. There's a lot more choices, that's for sure, and some of them are really difficult, but like I said, Episode Two will make or break that aspect of that. The art style is really cool, but the animations are... terrible. The lip syncing is just awful. Again, the Voice acting, not so great. And the writing.......... It's different than anything Telltale has done, so different in fact, that I don't think it's quite fair to compare the writing between this game and any of Telltales. However, the dialogue is sometimes awkward, and there are a few cringe worthy lines. Then again, Telltale has been guilty of more or less the same with Walking Dead as far as awkward dialogue goes. Cringe worthy lines, not so much, I don't think Telltale has had that problem. But then again, the context is different, and that does affect that.

I believe in the first trailer someone compared it to a Stephen King Novel? Honestly, from my knowledge of John Green Novels(Never read one, but everyone at my school always talks about them), it seems like an odd combination of King's style, and Green's. Which is... not bad, in my opinion. And there are some good, memorable moments in Life is Strange. Then again, Harp seems to be very negative about it, I'm obviously very positive about it, maybe you'd get a clearer view of what it is by: a) Playing it yourself b) Finding someone with a more balanced opinion

Yeah that was the impression I got, well I can clearly see this company wants to be Telltale, problem is, I have doubts that they can be, I can also foresee a lot of other company's trying there hand and failing.

Finished the first episode. Doubt I'll continue playing it. It has way too much of a chick-flick vibe for my tastes. Plus, not to mention the often cringeworthy writing, and the garbage voice actor for the protagonist. Seriously, it feels like a 40 year old man trying to get into the head of a 16 year old girl. It just doesn't gel. Thank god, somebody agrees with me! I thought I was the only one who didn't like the first episode.

Caulfield is the same last name as the protagonist of The Catcher in the Rye(Holden Caulfield).
Funnily enoguh though, so far, I really like Max, but I absolutely HATED Holden Caulfield, and basically all of The Catcher in the Rye.

They're definitely trying to copy Telltale, but even if they're not as good as Telltale... I'd say it's still good, and it's worth a shot, Episode One, anyway. Been seeing a lot of extreme opinions on this. Seems most people loved it(me, and others who played it on this thread, I forget who), or severely disliked it/despised it(Harp, and, apparently TC). There isn't really a middle ground, form what I've seen of most people's opinions of it.

Holden Caulfield is a cunt. No excuses. My project was to write an essay on if I thought Holden Caulfield could be my friend or not. I basically just wrote a huge rant on what a terrible character/person he is and how I could never be friends with anyone remotely like that, and lo and behold, so did everyone else in my class. Not a single person said that they thought they could be friends with Holden Caulfield. The teacher was shocked.

If anyone is interested, a video showing the locations of all of the optional photos:
I'm not sure if these are just collectibles, or if they'll have any effect on the game... but I want them.

I do hope that for the one that involves messing up Victoria's photos, you can rewind, but keep the photograph. I remember that I couldn't take the picture of David harassing Kate for blackmail, and then rewind whilst keeping the pictures. It was one or the other. Since it's optional though, I'm betting that it will let you rewind, if not... eh, guess I won't get 10/10, since I do want to try and be nice to Victoria, in hopes of not making anymore enemies, considering that no matter what you do, crazy guy with a gun will always be after you...
Also, did anyone think it was funny when Nathan said, "Do not analyze me. I pay people to do that."? I thought that was hilarious.

Yeah there are a bunch of little plotholes like that (pick up the picture in the bathroom? take a pic of Prescott holding the gun then rewind, cause you hold inventory?), but I guess that would make the game too easy, or take away ambiguity in a lot of choices.
