That was probably one of the best episodes in the entire series... And has definitely moved Hall on Wheels up a little on my own personal list of great TV Shows... Even though I knew Elam was going to die, or had guessed, that still was hard... For a second, I was even expecting Bohannon to die.
...This show really has a knack for killing off my favorite characters(aside form Cullen). Lilly, then Elam.... If Psalms dies....
Also, the thing with Durant was brutal. Did he beat that guy with a bone? It looked like a bone. Fuck... We've got Durant(maybe's he's loding it a little?), Campbell(Fuck that guy), and the Swede(Entertaining, but pure evil nonetheless). Meanwhile, among the good guys we've got.... Cullen, Psalms, possibly Mickey, who, like Durant, is also unstable. Sidney I think is going to play some part in what happens next... but I'm not sure how.
Back to Elam... Him talking to Psalms was heart breaking. All of a sudden, he broke out of it for a second... That whole thing was just heart breaking... I thought for a second they might get him to come back from the brink...

Well... that was depressing, the whole situation was an Old Yeller situation, which are never fun, but if done well are, well, good, and this was done very well.

How many episodes are even left? Usually it's 9 or 10. I hope there's more this Season, this has been the best Season so far.

I heard somewhere that it's doing the Walking Dead method, which is split the season into 8 parts, and the second half is generally in February, I'll try to confirm that, but if so, we are looking at 16 episodes.

Confirmed, there will be 13 episodes. So things that might happened in this Season: -The Swede and the Mormons attack or in some other way anger the people in Cheyenne -Durant confronts Campbell(I don't think Campbell will die this Season, he's too good a villain) -Eva deals with Elam's Death -Cullen becomes head of the railroad again(Durant may be fired after a confrontation with Campbell), or earns some other important position) -Cullen and Swede confrontation, maybe the final one, maybe not. Lilly and Elam must be avenged(Sine the Swede kidnapped Cullen with the Mormons, and Elam went looking for him, the Swede is indirectly responsible) For now, Sidney and Mickey are wild cards, I don't know what's going to happen with them.

I am willing to bet your right, and 13 episodes sound right.

Latest episode was also very good. Things are still going how I've predicted them to. For one, Sidney is the new Federal Marshall. From the previews, it looks like we're building up to confrontation between Cullen and Sidney.
I really hope that Psalms doesn't die this Season. Almost anytime that someone dies, it's one of my favorites. Even Toole back in Season 2, I really liked him(and thinking about it, whatever happened to his brother and Eva's baby?). Sadly, it's not looking to good for ol' Psalms...
And Eva's not in a great position either... We've already scene what happens to cheaters, and that's basically all she's doing now.
Things definitely aren't going to end well... I'm really starting to wonder who's going to come out on top when this whole thing is over.
And Mickey is still mostly a wild card in all this, but I think he'd have Cullen's back.
And of course, The Swede is still hanging around, but I'm starting to think he's more of a threat for Season 5 at this point.

That latest episode was fantastic. While this Season has been great, it's been sorely lacking a good old fashioned shoot out, and we got that this episode. Awesome!
The implication by Ruth that Sidney is literally the devil is... interesting, to say the least. I mean, he's pretty fucking evil, just shooting the guys out in the field and laughing and shouting the whole time. He wasn't even really trying to get Cullen, just trying to kill as many innocent(relatively innocent) people as he could.
I'm really looking forward to the next episode, things are building up finally, though, I doubt next episode will be the final confrontation with Campbell, we've still got about 4 episodes left this Season. Someone's probably going to die next episode though. I really thought it would be Mickey this episode. This show just really loves killing off my favorites..... It's almost impossible that both Psalms and Mickey are making it through this Season.
And I'm kind of confused by what's going on with Louise. First off, wasn't it a fairly big thing in Season 3 that she was forced to leave New York because she was a Lesbian? So.... I suppose she'd by bisexual if she actually does like Campbell and isn't just trying to get something from him or has some sort of endgame. And assuming that wasn't the case, didn't she kind of idolize Cullen in Season 3? I can only assume that she has some sort of plan, because Campbell seems to be about as charming as a dead snake.

True, I actually started to like the engineer guy, the guy that used to be in charge, I thought he was going to die, thank you Hell on Wheels, and yeah, someone is going to die, I can feel it, and on that last note... yeah wasn't that something they brought up? I don't know, fuck it!
