Well, Bio IS pretty likeable, so it kind of makes sense that he'd be Pete. As much as I like Pete, I have to admit that I'm almost nothing like him. Same with Kenny.

It's simple: Bio always gets the protagonist typecast. Eddard Stark, Lee, and uncle Pete. Furthermore, all of these characters are dead.

Bio doesn't always get the protagonist cast. In the Death Note recast, he wasn't casted as Light Yagami because Light was an asshole.

Light was more of a false protagonist. I don't remember who he was cast as, but I'm going to guess the true protagonist: Near. For me it was L, he single-handedly almost had Light but failed ultimately. Near/N on the other hand, had a large support (his crew, and Melo) unlike L
