Harp, with your "If Lee were in X character's position, I could imagine the choice that the character makes being a choice that Lee has the option of making" line of argument, you could say that Telltale made just about every character like Lee. No. I couldn't see Lee shooting Matthew, no matter who he lost. I couldn't see Lee ditching Carlos. I couldn't see Lee freaking out because everybody has been gone for like an hour. I couldn't see Lee strangling Mike for something so dumb. I couldn't see Lee telling someone to fuck off for something so minor as bugging him while he's sleeping. I couldn't see Lee killing himself like Katjaa did. I couldn't see Lee letting Clementine die, like Kenny can with Duck. The list goes on. That, in bold, is exactly what I'm getting at. The core of what we're arguing is that Kenny is Lee 2.0. He's not.

Heh, we jumped at the same exact example.

That, in bold, is exactly what I'm getting at. The core of what we're arguing is that Kenny is Lee 2.0. He's not. Ok, he did one thing Lee would not do. How exactly does that make him a completely different character?Because that rash action basically spanks you across the face with what Kenny's character has become. Recall Sarita's observation about him being different. He's different to the point where he'll risk multiple lives because he can't stop for a second to think about whether his plans have any substance. He's on overdrive, nearly all the time. Even if you play Lee as an ass, he doesn't have the go-go-go anger fueled mentality.

Lee would also try to keep Clem with him at all times, especially in dangerous times like wading through the crowd of walkers. Kenny didn't.

Substance seems to be all Kenny thinks about. He thinks about doing as much as he can to help. And that's not Kenny, by the way. Kenny's thought process is (or used to be, if you still consider season 2 canon) fuck you got mine. I don't see that changing. It did, though.Whether he thinks about substance and whether what his thoughts actually have any substance are completely different matters. None of his original plans have come to fruition because they don't have that substance. And those last two sentences are pretty contradictory...

Like his brilliantly substantial "let's call a bunch of walkers to attack us and then wing it" idea? And you're speaking as if S1 Kenny never did anything to help Lee out. Remember that he's the one who saw the St. Johns's back room and told Lee to do something about it. Remember that he's the one who first tried to get the train running. Remember that he's the one who had the idea to get a damn boat.

She wasn't when Lee was around. Lee would let this Clem roam around walkers. Then again, Lee would never let her become that, and he wouldn't have cared about her nearly as much if he met 11 year old Clem. Again, the intractable difference in opinion. I see him caring just as much, considering he sees her as part of the family he never started. Regardless, we're talking about canon. And "if Lee met 11 year old Clem" isn't canon.

From EVERYTHING we've seen of Lee, he would never let Clementine out of his sight unless he absolutely had to.

Remember that he's the one who first tried to get the train running. Remember that he's the one who had the idea to get a damn boat. Yes. That is what I said. He thought of the calling the walkers because it was the only way to get out of that camp, and Kenny doesn't want to do what he doesn't whant to do for an extended period of time. I also thoroughly believe that he viewed Lee as a tool and nothing more. Think about it. He's perfectly content to let Lee die if he doesn't work with Kenny once. Actually, more of a work animal. He rewards it for being a good little horse with sugar cubes, and finding its daughter or whatever. Again, the train had nothing to do with Lee. It had to do with getting his wife and son to the water. The back room was his own paranoia, and was not intended to help Lee. Also, Lee got the train running. He did the pencil rub, he flipped the switches, and he got the train unstuck. Kenny's boat plan was, again, not for Lee. It was for his family. Kenny was happy to bring along his favorite attack dog, and whoever the dog wanted. The word "substance" when applied to a plan, means that the plan has been thought out to some degree. Not just a vague, dangerous idea with no follow through like Kenny had. And you think Season 2 Kenny didn't want to get out of Carver's camp for his own personal reasons? You think he doesn't view Luke, Nick and the others as tools that would help him achieve his goal of escaping? And just as Lee got the train running, Clem, Jane and Bonnie were the ones who got the group out of the camp. It's the same thing. Kenny gets a nebulous plan together. The people who actually know what they're doing execute it. It's the same it's always been. I'm honestly surprised you're this much of a fan of S2 Kenny because he seems like the same guy to me.

We have no idea how Lee would treat S2 Clem. We also have no idea how a pregnant hormonal Lee who recently just ran away from a crazy dictator and who just met Clem would react to her. *gasp* Rebecca is the new Lee!!!

But what if they both weren't African-American? Would you still think the same??? Huh? *gasp*

Plot twist, what if Carver is actually Lee's father and Luke is actually Duck from the future where he survived?

Deleting everything won't do anything Harp. Cause, y'know, we literally quoted for every response.
