 I don't get why everyone is so weird about the new Playing Dead. Yeah, it sucks now, just like everything in Season 1, it all went downhill, but it's really more intact than things like choice weight. AJ just seemed to be a better host than Greg, at least to me. Plus in the old PD, didn't they go over each of the five major choices from each Episode and talk about them for a minute or so? I liked that. It was a like an expanded stat trailer. I remember AJ asking good questions about the development of the Episodes and the choices, while Greg doesn't, at least as far as I can remember. Though it has been a while since I've seen an episode of either PD, so my memory on this might be off. |

From what I've seen, a lot of the newer Episodes feel like advertisements. Honestly, I never watched either Season of Playing Dead that much, but I still find that the old format was better as it actually allowed for intelligent discussions with the game developers about player trends, whereas the current format just (mostly) shills out the famous voice actors and/or IGN reviewers.

It's just my personal preference. I liked PD with AJ more than with Greg for the reasons I gave above.

I'm using it to emphasize how silly this sounds. Dfh is using it to emphasize the fact that we're commenting on two threads, which supposedly makes us alive.

As I said, I've hardly watched the series itself - even in its prime. I just voiced some concerns about the old/new format. It seems like you are projecting the anger and criticisms of other people who were more vocal/angry about it onto my posts and opinions. |
