I have zero idea what's going on in this thread. From the Bioshock stuff to the colored teams thing. Completely without a clue.

Well I picked up Skyrim and I'm thinking about Spelunky... Just looking for some fun small games with a lot of replay value.

It isn't for everyone. Here's a free download of the original Spelunky (not the Steam/Xbox version), that, while not giving you as much of the replay value, secrets, and collectibles, as well as not being as graphically polished as the Steam version, it's still really really fun: spelunkyworld.com/original.html

The original Spelunky is still better than the new version.

Looking at three games right now:
Broken Age Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Bioshock
Someone sell me on each. All three look like very different games that I wouldn't normally try.

Broken Age is a very good point & Click game with lots of character and charm to it, as well as a good story. The world is very well thought out and charming. Ultimately though, I'd recommend An Amanita Designs game like Botanicula. Brothers... I haven't finished it. I got bored. So... Yeah. Bioshock has one of the best stories I've found in a game, with an amazing world around it filled with very unique and memorable characters. As a shooter, it's not the best, but as a story based game, it's excellent. (Also, don't skip Bioshock 2 if you buy it and decide to play the rest of the games).

Eh. Fuck it. Bought all three, including the Bioshock triple pack. All three games for $15. Wowee.

The original Spelunky is still better than the new version. Woah woah woah... How? It's the same game, but the Xbox version has more stuff in it. Better visual design, better secrets, and better collectibles. I'm not trying to start a fight like the Bioshock one, because I don't actually care here, but I'm curious. How is the original better?

Well Broken Age is a really well done point and click by Double Fine, and its a real point and click, Brothers is unique, its a two hour game without a single line of dialogue spoken, it is I suppose a puzzle platformer that is kind of co op, sort of in the sense you control both characters, its not for everyone, and Bioshock, well, its fucking Bioshock, really what more need be said?

Spelunky seems much slower to me, the new one anyway. I just find it so much easier to get into the original. My own opinion, nothing to "back it up", I just happen to enjoy playing the original more.

It doesn't feel slugish for me anyway, but they both seem fine.
