I suppose I have no choice but to stream it now. What's a good time? This is exciting. Chloe's making a comeback, and is somehow partnered up with Nadine. Only time will tell if this partnership will end up blowing up in their faces.

Still no news yet of when the DLC will be out. Only thing that's been mentioned is that Chloe (with the help of Nadine) is hunting for a mystical treasure called "The Tusk of Ganesha", which is located at Indiaβs Western Ghats mountain range amid a brutal civil war.

I think I'm some sort of weirdo, but I don't like U4, not one bit - at least so far. Hell, even though I said that U1-U3 were IMO not really that great as everyone painted them to be, they were at least fun - when played in small doses, of course.
And when I finally got U4 somewhere around November-December last year, I played some of it and still didn't finish the game. I'm not even halfway through (the level I'm currently in is is Avery's Tomb).
I was never much thrilled by the gameplay of Uncharted 1-3 or its quite illogical plot, but what pushed me forward was its campy and fun tone, regardless of what was happening on screen. Story might've been flawed, but I liked following these characters' misadventures.
Meanwhile, U4 feels completely drained off that elemnent. It's simply boring and joyless. The only thing that came close to being fun was the robbery during the auction, but even then it felt like it was dragging on and on towards the end.
I've been on the Avery's Tomb level for past two weeks. I simply can't bring myself to move forward with it. I'll jump from time to time, shoot some guys and that's it. I get bored of it before playing for more than 10 minutes. The characters aren't fun as they used to be - which is a CRIME for this game series. Sam is written as this cool, funny guy, but instead his presence feels forced and he's annoying.
Maybe it gets better later, but right now playing this feels like a chore. And the opening sections are so not Uncharted that it literally hurts. Teary-eyed backstory and overly serious tone are not what I expect from this game.
And don't give me this bullshit that it's a conclusion to the series, so this installment must be a bit more serious than the earlier ones. U3 had a story that felt like a fitting end and farewell to these characters - and didn't have all this 'serious tone' shit. It was FUN all the way through, even when it did touch upon some serious stuff. What the hell happened in U4 that it changed so much?
Try harder next time, Naughty Dog.
Rant over.

Try harder next time, Naughty Dog. I think this might have been part of the problem, they tried way too hard. I loved the game and I thought it was a good send off, but there's no doubt in my mind that it doesn't feel as Uncharted-y as 1-3. Personally, I blame The Last of Us.

beat uncharted 4. i was not prepared for chapter 18...19...the one with the exploding mummies that was, like, the only part of the game i didnt know about Yeah, running through those exploding mummies was not fun. But other than that, it was one hell of a ride. And how about that final duel, huh?

XD But then there are moments where some scenes don't work with the costume change. Like, for the cutscenes, instead of fading into the next scene, it just cuts to black and then the next scene starts two seconds later. Also, in Nate and Elena's home, I go to the mirror with the Scotland outfit on, there was only his head. Plus, inside the tower in the middle of the Madagascar city and you have to take a picture of the sigils, but you can also take a picture of Sully; I tried that while he was also in his Scotland outfit, and he didn't show up on camera. Like a vampire! O.O

Guys, call me an idiot, label me a moron... but here's the deal:
I've finally fucking managed to bring myself to finish the Avery's Tomb level. I thought that now, with Sully in tow, the game will at least get more funnnier with the banter between him and Nate from U1-U3 (sorry, Sam still can't "click" with me).
I groaned all the way through the melodramatic cutscene with Nate lying to Elena over the phone and, after seeing the first cutscene with Madagascar, I felt like the game was back on track.
And then, something I didn't expect happened - the game let me loose on a huge map without clear directions other than 'find towers'.
WHAT THE FUCK, NAUGHTY DOG?!
I don't fucking care if people/reviewers pointed out that Tomb Raider 2013/ROTTR were said to be carbon copies of Unchaterd, with the only difference being that they were taking place in a quasi-open world. What I want from Uncharted is a fun, cinematic, LINEAR game - I don't want huge, vast levels to roam around and looking for shit. For me it's just showing off, like: 'we can do open levels too, only better looking!'.
Some may ask what my problem is. To be honest, I hate open-world games as of late, because this genre went in a completely wrong direction. See, I like maxing out games, but only if all of these side- or main activities don't feel shoehorned into the game. That's why the last open-world game I truly loved was GTA Vice City. Ever since that moment, every developer wanted to have a bigger-and-better open world game. Even Rockstar failed at improving their craft, with San Andreas being a fair warning (yeah, I start a mission in SF that ends in LS, and then I have to go all the way back to SF to resume...)
What's worse, some games that don't actually go along with open world started using parts of that type of games - say, the aforementioned Tomb Raider.
So, when I saw that this is the element that made its way to Uncharted, it literally made my blood boil.
That, and all of my previous complains I've mentioned in that thread earlier, made me realize that I have no desire to finish this game, because - for the first time in the Uncharted game series - I actually don't care what happens next. I don't care if Nate and Elena will remain together, I don't care whether Nate will save Sam from Alcazar, I don't care if Nate will beat Rafe and Nadine to the treasure. The game is not fun as U1, U2 or U3 were - U4 is pompous, overdramatic, unfunny (which is a crime!) and now, apparently, features a quite shitty level and narrative design.
I forced myself to finish Avery's Tomb with a bit of hope it'll get better. I won't force myself anymore. The game is, as of now, deleted from my PS4. I'm not going back to it unless I'll run out of games to play. I don't think that'll happen, because I still have TLOU, Mafia 3 and AC Syndicate (maybe I'll finally start it...) to play.
Right now I'm worried about playing The Last of Us since it's a ND game, but it came out before U4, so maybe it won't be bad.

The Last of Us is the greatest creation ever. Better than the air conditioner, better than the wheel, better than the Big Bang, better than the energy and gases that made the Big Bang possible, better than the creator him or her or itself. So no pressure, but if you don't like it I don't think we can be friends anymore.
