What are your thoughts about it? What made you so happy? I just love the series and the characters so much and I loved how they tied everything up. The game took a TON from The Last of Us. Like, a shitload. I played with my brother and we must have said "that's straight out of The Last of Us" at least ten times. So... I guess I expected them to take another cue from Last of Us and go darker. I'm so glad they didn't. Also, this game is positively gorgeous. I'd say 80% of people that bought a PS4 bought it knowing eventually this game would come out. Everyone finally got their money's worth. Stunning visuals, STUNNING. Yeah, it's definitely the most visual appealing game that I've ever played. Whenever they did the 'c'mon, nate gimme a boost' I always thought 'lol, that's from the last of us' But, yeah, it was very light-hearted all throughout and I'm glad it was.

There's one or two moments through the first three Uncharted's, I think, but it's definitely a lot more prevalent in TLOU and UC4.

The most striking comparison of borrowing was the scene after Nate and Elena come together and say they'll talk things through later and you can stay as long as you want overlooking the beauty below. Very similar to the giraffe scene.
I mean, come on.
And I don't mean that "come on" in a negative way. That was probably one of my favorite parts of the game.

Very similar to the giraffe scene. I thought it was "main character's family member gets shot and killed/'killed' following escape from infected/prison guards, cut to opening titles" Like the giraffe/piano thing, I'm not even complaining. I just found that a bit intriguing.

Forgot to vocalize my one complaint about the game. It desperately lacked the presence of
I get it, they wanted to be more stylized and cinematic and impressive. The orchestral rendition was pretty good, don't get me wrong. But just because you're trying to set a tone doesn't mean you need to forget your roots. I know it's minor and I sound bitchy, but Nate's Theme is one of my favorite pieces of music ever.

Or a Fargo season without the theme song. Doesn't sound right.

The only time I've heard that song in association with Bioshock was the trailer for the first one.

Why yes, the Django Reinhart song is the first piece of music heard in the series, right at the lighthouse. It shows up on the radio often in Bioshock 2, when you get to Rapture it plays after Songbird dies, and its the last piece of music heard in the series during the post credit scene for Burial at Sea.

Well, I didn't notice it one single time then.

Also, Nadine was a pretty damn pointless character. I think Naughty Dog included her just to show off what a multi-dimensional, strong woman they could make.

Possibly trying to look good because its all the rage? No hatred towards ND, just making an observation. Would have still liked fat Drake in the multiplayer.

She was the worst actor in Game of Thrones, because she couldn't keep a Northern accent. Same here, she was better when she was doing Saints Row, or Bioshock Infinite. She didn't need to do an accent for those games. And yeah, she might be scared that her voice might become to recognizable, but it seems to have worked fine for Steve Blum. And he never does an accent, I wonder why.

I couldn't really relate to that one since I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to European accents... but completely agree with her Nadine one. Atrocious. I remember one line in particular, can't remember which, I actually scoffed at how ridiculous it sounded.
