Harp, in retrospect, can you imagine how hopping and fun this place was back in 2014 compared to now?

Harp, in retrospect, can you imagine how hopping and fun this place was back in 2014 compared to now? Honestly, I like it better now. There isn't as much conversation as there was then, but I'm more interested in the stuff that does get said. I remember I said that at a point where all that was being posted was shit about a TTG game I kinda skipped (forget which one ( Maybe TWAU?)), or the threads that were circulating around just did not interest me.

Truthfully, I agree with you. In general, I find the game discussion threads some of the most laborious material to slog through. Every so often there's good, interesting stuff to talk about.... but your run of the mill "here's what I thought" summary? Dull. And I don't mean anyone in particular. Everyone. Myself included. There's just no way to make it stimulating.

In a place where I feel so lonely, it's nice to be able to hear from people that I've grown to genuinely care about. Even if the bonding we did was over shit game after shit game, I do like the people we've got left. More than most people I've met here at college. Though I do remember having fun debating thoughts. Whether certain controversial characters were good or bad. What was gonna happen next. What option was the best. That was fun.

Whether certain controversial characters were good or bad. What was gonna happen next. What option was the best. That was fun. Yup. Again, totally agree. It's a lot more enriching. I think we're all in sort of the same boat. We're in different stages of life, sure, but facing some of the similar life problems altogether. It's helpful and it's very healthy. I know I don't really let it out in the open often, but I struggle with loneliness and social awkwardness, whatever you want to call it too. It's been a real struggle, the past ten years. A lot of things that I could have done differently, a lot of things I regret. Many times I've felt alone, like I was the only one facing certain universal issues. This place has been a lifeline. It's made me feel less alone. Logging in at the end of every day before bed is still one of the brightest, most exciting points of my day even with the off-season lull and fall of Telltale quality.

I feel the same way. Do you think that might be why some people dropped off? I noticed that a lot of the people who dropped off were either more outgoing, or more sure of themselves. Rock and DFH are maybe the last people left that I can think of who have little anxiety about their lives. Who are going through and sorting it out without fear. The rest of us are whiny lil bitches worrying about this and that all the time. ( Kinda sarcasm. Kinda not.)

It's gotta be the long run of uninteresting games. Place was rockin' for TFTBL and GoT and has been downhill since, which can't be a coincidence. And I don't know Rock (and probably dfh) as well as you do, but I'd be willing to bet they're more similarly aligned to everyone else than you might think. I think dfh is just protected behind that shell of Cali Coolness that he exudes.

That's what I meant to suggest. And hey, if anyone should have a shell of Cali Coolness, it should be me.
