Is it just me or is there no real sense of Winter in Season 2? All there's been is a few passing comments, a couple of characters wearing jackets and a slight hint of snow in Episode 2.
To me it feels like it could almost be autumn, judging by how sunny the game has been so far. I guess this is because the group is closer to the deep south, but surely as they start getting further north it will start snowing more. If so, I'm looking forward to it.
I really hope there's a change in weather around Episode 4. Considering the game is getting towards January 2006, it's about time.

In episode 3 it didn't feel much like winter. Neither did episode 1. It does feel like autumn.
The only reason episode 2 feels like winter is because telltale were throwing snow at us and rubbing it in our faces "Hey guys, look at this snow that we put into the game, do you like it?!"

maybe it's just a not very snowy winter.
They do happen.

True, but Episode 5 seems like it'll be very snowy. Maybe they're saving that weather for once the group get further north; maybe there will be a timeskip between Episode 4 and 5 when they actually make it to Michigan.

some places snow when others aren't.
Portsmouth can snow when London doesn't.

Judging by the Christmas tree in the lodge, it could still be mid-to-late December. Winter's funny. I'm up in New England where it's notoriously snowy and we've had winters where there's been no substantial accumulation of snow and no biting cold until mid-January, sometimes later. Gotta think winter is even stranger in the Carolinas and such.
Or maybe Telltale is just lazy and forgetful. It's possible.

Yeah, it is a bit odd, does anyone know where episode 3 takes place? Because episode 1 was North Carolina, and episode 2 was Virginia, where was episode 3?

How do we know? Just wondering. The green x is the cabin, starting in North Carolina. The five day walk to the ski lodge ends at the blue x. The distance between Carver's camp (red x) and the ski lodge (blue x) can easily be covered in a day's car trip. They leave the ski lodge at night, then they arrive at carvers camp the next night. From there, Parker's cross (or run) is very close.

I think that map is wrong. I did some math on the TTG forum, and I estimated that the cabin was on the southeast side of virginia, and the moonstar lodge was on the west virginian border. Have no idea where the hardware store is, though.

Its real life counterpart is clearly Lowe's Hardware, but there are hundreds, maybe thousands, of them across America... So we have no idea.
