The Clem hat's still one of my most worn, but mostly because it's so well made. It's basically just a solid go-to now. Lost most of its meaning.

I disagree with the idea that shitty sequels can erase the past. Even if said next installments completely contradict everything that was built in the past. Even if the creators (relatively speaking) of the original seems to have completely forgotten what the starting point even meant. Season One can still stand alone as a separate entity. When I look at mine, I remember the unbelievable experience of playing through season one. I remember sitting there in front of my TV, crying at 5 AM as Lee Everett died. I remember deciding if I ever had a daughter, I'd name her Clementine. I remember the inexplicable excitement I felt all throughout season two's release. I remember taking the leap of faith and buying Wolf Among Us because it was made by the company that made Walking Dead and hey, that's gotta mean something, right? I remember getting to experience a few more stellar releases as a result of that. I remember signing up here and "meeting" this cool group of people I wouldn't have known otherwise. To me, at least, I look and wear the hat and think of Terrance Mann's words in Field of Dreams: "it reminds of all that once was good..."*
*(Boy, do I wish I could also use the ends of that quote of "...and it could be again," but I'm pretty much out of faith.)

*(Boy, do I wish I could also use the ends of that quote of "...and it could be again," but I'm pretty much out of faith.)Maybe it shouldn't, but it has, for me. Can't shake the feeling that it's a symbol of something once so great, that's become a glorified fanfic. Again, my opinion.

*(Boy, do I wish I could also use the ends of that quote of "...and it could be again," but I'm pretty much out of faith.)I completely agree, and after rewatching a season one playthrough, it hasn't lost its potency despite how much the series sucks now. Same thing with Aliens, the rest of the series is a disaster but it cannot ruin brilliance.
