Natalie Dormer and Aiden Gillian are gonna be in Andromeda, so that's good. Well I already know Littlefingers is going to be the bad guy, you can never have someone who talks like that be a hero.

I don't think I've said anything about clipping issues with TTG, I said GOTG looks like a trash fire because it's beyond ugly, and I'm not saying this is probably gonna suck because of one clipping issue (if this even is a clipping issue, it looks like her arm warped into the fucking 4th dimension), there's constantly really horrendous animations in their trailers facial or otherwise, and whilst that doesn't immediately mean it'll suck, it gives off huge rushed game vibes, and rushing a good game will make it suck. And on another note, I really don't understand your die hard loyalty to game developers, being this huge of a fan boy is only detrimental to them, since if you praise every pile of shit they put out they wont improve, since it shows them they can get away with shoving out any old shit. These companies don't give a fuck about you, unconditionally defending them every time anyone says anything negative is pretty much what made a lot of people really hate you here, or at least what started it. Stopping doing this pointless, stupid shit would go a very long way in making people like you again.

So, not to dampen anyone's spirits with this article I found while browsing Reddit, but the initial impressions don't seem very favorable. I'll admit I don't read Rock, Paper, Shotgun, so I don't know how credible they are, so to speak, or if the guy writing the article even enjoys Mass Effect or what have you, but... well, like I said, this isn't good news. Obviously I'll be waiting until it's out to judge it and see if I want to buy it if I can't snatch it up in the writing giveaway I entered, but this really doesn't put me at ease.

Over at Kotaku, the early impressions were so good that I think the writer of that article probably had an orgasm while enumerating the pluses and little to negatives. I guess we'll just have to wait and see when more impressions will pop up closer to release.

Apparently the guy who wrote the article I linked also hated Witcher 3. His credibility = I am suddenly less concerned.

Well, the 10 hour trial is up on Origin for the US. If you have Origin Access, you can play. $5 a month. I just did it for a one time payment to try out the game.

Alright, I played maybe 2-3 hours of the game. It's really fuckin' good. I decided to roll with a custom Ryder, as opposed to when I actually play through it on PS4 (since the game doesn't run as well as I'd like on PC. Low settings gets 45-60 FPS but doesn't look very good. Medium is very jumpy, going from 15 to 30 randomly, but usually stays at 30 or so. Anyways, back to my custom Ryder.... Yeah, the character customization is pretty disappointing. I wasn't able to make a super ugly one, I really had to use a bunch of makeup. Under the makeup and green hair, he looks like a normal dude. You can't face sculpt. You choose from presets. I will say though... the Dad looks fuckin' badass. Anyways, the first mission alone took me like 2 hours. There's several optional tasks to do in the mission that are mostly all interesting. Then, after that you get to hang out at the Nexus, which is pretty much the Citadel for Andromeda. It's really cool and there's alot of people to talk to. All interesting characters. The squadmates are really cool so far, Cora and Liam are both likable squadmates. I just met Vetra but her introduction scene was cool. I have yet to run into the other three companions. No idea what the fuck that reviewer was talking about (the one that Rock posted about), the game is great imo.

ME:A is pretty decent so far, if you ignore the beyond janky facial animations anyway. Also, for comparison's sake, here's my dad Ryder so you can see how much he can change.

Wait, you have to take presets like KOTOR back in the day and not, well, like the previous Mass Effect design options? Why would you dial that back???
