Gotta go with MP on this one. It's a Kenny hate thread, Harp. It belongs in the hate thread section. Dome. Move it back.

I agree, he was an asshole at that part. I just can't help, but like this guy. That's just the magic of his stache. I'll be honest, I almost was willing to maybe warm up to him after the peaches and beans joke. Then he starts yelling at them. Really? I hated that joke. I actually wanted him to stop talking because it seemed like he was trying too hard to be funny.

I was like "Kenny, don't talk about shitting when we're eating crap." Then again, with my effortless and artful humor, I may simply be critiquing him.

It's a thread provoking discussion on the character, and whether or not they should be liked, whereas a hate thread is just a congregation of people saying "Yeah, fuck him." Not true. Most of the other character love/hate threads contain some discussion on whether or not a character should be liked or hated. The only reason why this thread won't devolve into people just going "Yeah, fuck him" is because most people on here disagree with you. It's like if I were to post a Clem/Lee hate thread, most of the discussion would revolve around people disagreeing with me and bringing up reasons why those characters are likeable to them.

Dildor, don't you push me. MP, that is an unused section, and this thread will never be seen if it is there. And Rock, why is this forum so biased :C I guess we just view the character in different ways. I can only speak for myself when I say this, but I view Kenny as a flawed anti-hero who, even though he became a bad person after the events of the St. John Dairy, redeemed himself (in my eyes) with his actions in Episode 5. You, obviously, feel very different about him. I'd just chalk this up to different strokes for different folks, because there's really very little that can prove anyone's opinion, no matter what it may be, definitively right or wrong here.
And I apologize if you misunderstood me when I said you probably were the only one here who hated Kenny. I meant that literally, not in any "This is Kenny's forum so like his mustache or GTFO" kind of way. I know that Dome isn't too crazy about him either, but for the most part I think the majority of us are Kenny supporters (to varying degrees, of course). I have no idea why that is, only that it is how it is around here. Other users are free to prove me wrong, of course.
I saw him as an asshole who would let somebody die for not wanting to kill an old man, even if the guy has tried to save his son several times. And it sort of feels that way. People reply with disdain whenever I say that he's an ass.

Yeah, I thought that maybe this won't turn into a fight I expected, but Kenny had to start a fight for no reason. I guess that's why I like him. He's not perfect, just a flawed and not the nicest man. I just like the anti-heroes. But he hasn't really developed between the seasons, that's dissapointing.

If the purpose were not to hate or love, then they wouldn't be called hate or appreciation threads, respectively. Do you remember the first hate and appreciation threads? The first hate thread was a hate thread made for Clem so that "Campy won't be in the appreciation thread anymore."

I think Kenny's IQ of <75 tends to make people hate him. If you don't side with him, he can't understand why you wouldn't. He's stubborn, and to him the only way things will go right is his way.
He doesn't think too much into things. He probably didn't even think that Clem may have been with the Cabin group for years.

That said, I do like him and I don't want him to die any time soon.

People reply with disdain whenever I say that he's an ass. I saw him as an ass too, with "saw" being the key word. I liked him and all even before Episode 5, but dayum could he be spiteful and selfish. For me, and possibly others, his actions (in either scene) during Episode 5 sufficiently redeemed him or at least proved that he wanted redemption. I didn't even label him "anti-hero" before Episode 5, just "jackass." I love Kenny as a character in a story, not because he's a nice guy.

An anti-hero is somebody who uses morally questionable tactics to do good things. He's just a person. A bad person.

All a hate thread has to be is a discussion revolving around the concept of hatred towards a character. It doesn't mean that every post in there or even the majority of posts in there have to agree that said character should be hated. It's like if I made a thread called "Clem Will Die in Episode 4," the majority of the posts won't be agreeing with me but that still doesn't change the fact that the thread is discussing the possibility of Clem dying in Episode 4.

No. That is not what it was made around. That is not the reason they exist. They exist because Campy was fucking around and talking about how much he hates Clem in the Clem appreciation thread, and then somebody made a hatred thread just for Campy. BECAUSE THEY WERE TIRED OF HIM DISCUSSING WHY HE MIGHT HATE CLEM.

I like Kenny. I completely agreed with him throughout season 1 until he started obsessing over the boat.
