Oh, how I loved Black Flag, I don't care if its sacrilegious, I think it was the best AC game. Certainly had more fun characters compared to 3, no more dull must do my duty Conner. This is probably a sin of itself, but I haven't finished an Assassins' Creed game since Revelations. I have 3, IV, and Unity, but I'm only like halfway through 3, and I refuse to play 4 and Unity until I beat 3. |

Less sacrilegious, more common belief among the fan-base. Syndicate is close though, for the fan-base as a whole, I mean. A lot of people liked the dynamic between Jacob and Evie. |

As far as story, I don't think it was very good, and it's got one tie-in to Unity with the Animus story, and a tie-in to Syndicate with the Modern Day story. Gameplay, yeah, pretty similar to Black Flag. |

Its a more personal story, and I for one liked it. It is more or less more Black Flag, and for me that was fine. For some, not so much. I say give it a try. |
