Any... You know... Crushes?Nope, thankfully. I had a good friend who had a crush on a girl from out class. They somehow started dating and she became overly attached. For the last few months we barely have any contact with him and he's spending almost all his free time with her. So, having a crush sucks.

School is a nightmare for me, but not for most of the usual reasons. I'm not going to lie, I go to a great school. I have great classmates, and I have some good friends. The problem is that when your mother and younger brother are both suffering from depression, it effects everything. My grades have been slipping, I'm outright failing AP Computer science at the moment, and the second trimester ends on the 28th. On top of all that, I have to worry about applying and getting into a good college. Oh, Mike.... That really sucks. I'm sorry man. Yeah. In some ways I'm really lucky, but in others I got a really shitty deal. They are family, and I love them, but that's why I have a hard time sympathizing with characters and people with mental illness. I know it's not entirely their fault (their basic personalities are far from pleasant), but they have made my life a living hell for months, if not years. Thanks though. I appreciate it.

I may have a crush... I don't really know myself. You know when you feel like someone treats you specially and stuff? It's like that. I just... It's complicated.

I hope things get better for you... One day.

If you feel like you can, and it's the right sort of situation, then go for it. If you don't then you might live to regret it later on, and if they say no you can be proud that you at least asked. Not that I should be giving advice, I advise other people but I'd be too weak willed to do something myself if the situation came.

I neglected to mention that I'm talking about a teacher.

We need the juicy deets. Tell us. EDIT: A teacher? Well, how old is she? And I'm sorry too, Mike. From your posts I can tell you're a smart guy, you'll manage. And I'm pretty much like Jake. Had really good grades once, but now I have much worse ones. I don't have motivation and I'm the laziest person you'll ever know.

I neglected to mention that I'm talking about a teacher. In that case, don't follow my advice. I don't have motivation and I'm the laziest person you'll ever know. Hah, I forgot to mention how lazy I was. I don't think I've done homework for the last two years. I also seem to manage to work my way out of detention, and I skip school during practically all of my study periods.

I'll admit I have the problem of being lazy too. I never get lower than C's, but I used to be an A student. Now I get mostly B's. Laziness, combined with two people who you are with all the time making you miserable, isn't good for you.

my school is nothing but encouraging, and I HAVE NO CLUE WHY.
also, I got marks for a class I never even took. I do not know how that works.

So I'm not the only lazy student? I don't do homework much at all either, though I do somehow manage to get decent grades. I use my two study halls (that's right, I'm so lazy I took two) to read, and nothing else. Plus, my Trigonometry class has a work day every other day, where we just work on homework instead of learning new things, so I read then, too. Around two and a half hours of each day is basically me wasting time that could be used on working.
But books are awesome, so I don't care.
