This reminds me of what I experienced on my first playthrough. Okay, that was pitch perfect timing if I ever saw it. Thank god for the PS4 always recording the last 15 minutes, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to capture that moment.

That is so perfect I almost had to wonder if you staged that, it was seriously so perfect to see a character say they are great, just to see one explode in the back because it crashed into a tree. My sides are splitting.

They would probably pass it off as it was meant to be in the name of Maxon, but holy hell are they terrible pilots. The Enclave look like triple aces in comparison.

Also, what about the Vertibirds? This reminds me of what I experienced on my first playthrough. Just dawned on me, this feels like that scene from the Naked Gun where Leslie Nelson is telling everyone to walk away nothing to see here, while everything is exploding.

Far Harbor spoilers: Just retrieved DiMA's memories. Wow. Talk about bringing the pace to a screeching halt. Who thought that a settlement building puzzle in the middle of a game like Fallout was necessary?

I hope Nuka World isn't completely about being an evil raider. I mean, yeah, we need evil options in the game, but an entire DLC based only around being evil would be just as bad as the base game that really forces you into mostly good. Being evil means nothing if you don't also have the choice to be good, and vice versa.

Just finished Far Harbor. I liked the story more than the main game. When the main story ended I just felt a bit empty and unsatisfied, but here I felt like in the end I did what I set out to accomplish, and it mattered to me. Not a whole lot, but still, more than the Institute stuff did. And in the end all the people of the harbor talked about how I'd helped the town, came to my aid. That was a nice touch.
In the end I uncovered all of DiMA's secrets, destroyed the Children of Atom, convinced DiMA to face justice for what he'd done, and kept the peace between Far Harbor and Acadia. A pretty good ending.
Except for the cultists, but fuck them.

So Nuka-World just dropped in North America and I'm downloading it now, so if you live in NA and have a Season Pass (Not many here, right?) then go bananers.
Hopefully it lives up to the bar set by Far Harbor, but as with all things involving 4 I am equal parts optimistic and cynical.

Every time I go near the area to enter the DLC the game crashes. Turning off my mods to fix that.

I'm waiting to play Nuka World this weekend. Fuck this weekday shit, I won't be able to enjoy it fully.
Read: get plastered out of my mind while playing and dress all my female companions up in harnesses.

Finished Nuka-World. I'm not sure if I can say that Bethesda did well or fucked it all up. I really liked some parts, but toward the end I realized exactly how stupid everything became when I went back to the Commonwealth. Speaking of that, near the end the DLC becomes almost entirely about... settlements. Yes. The Raiders are exactly like the Minutemen, but evil. Unlike Preston at least, you aren't constantly bombarded with their quests. You have to actually ask for them, choose to do them, which makes them slightly better.
And, as I feared, the main quest forces you to be an evil Raider. Now, you CAN kill all the Raiders in the park and clean it up, yes, but doing that essentially ends the DLC right there. You lock yourself out of all the Raider content, which isn't bad in and of itself, but the game doesn't provide you any meaningful substitute for it. The majority of the content is linked to being an evil Raider, so if you aren't an evil Raider then this DLC is basically a single massive shooting gallery not even close to being worth its price. Which is funny since the main game was exactly the opposite in terms of forced morality. This DLC doesn't fix the problem, is just gives us the opposite extreme.
Speaking of forced evil, the main quest pisses off the Minutemen, specifically Preston. Which is funny as shit, to be honest, but holy shit Bethesda easily made Preston *worse* with this DLC. He obviously hates Raiders, and hates you if you become them (Which you have to do to get the most out of the DLC) but if you've already become General of the Minutemen before you started murdering and enslaving people? All he says is that your friendship is over (Which we're all glad to hear, I'm sure) but that *he will still follow your orders as the elader of the Minutemen.* I'm sorry, what? That makes absolutely zero fucking sense on its own, but it gets better (Or worse) when you realize that when you decide to Raid a settlement with force you have to exterminate *full squads of Minutemen each time you do so.* In true Preston fashion he looks at this situation and decides "I guess there's nothing I can do about this, time to complain." And from what I've heard he's still essential for some ungodly reason.
You can even raid your own settlements, for some reason. I don't know why when you already own everything in them.
This is not the same quality that Far Harbor was. The DLC is fun, I suppose, but also feels tacked on. I don't know what number I'd give this. 5 or 6? Whatever.
