I could see Rodrik being like the sole survivor of his squad sometime during the Vietnam War with serious PTSD. He already really is, just minus the Nam aspect, everyone he knew died, and he clearly has trouble sleeping at night. Now, as to if that makes you more likely to save or kill him, that's another matter. I'll always save Rodrik. Unless by some miracle Asher single handedly saves the Forresters, Rodrik seems like the more capable leader.

Same, that's what it came down to, Asher said it himself, he is a soldier, Rodrik is a leader, simple as that. If we really want to break it down, its like Anna or Elsa for leader, both are great characters, but one is simply more reserved and a better leader. Asher is a great fighter, and probably a good battlefield commander, but he never struck me as a Lord. That's why I choose Rodrik, but by god I truly wish this wasn't a choice I had to make.

The Maester (I assume he's the one with the glasses?) looks more like he belongs in Vietnam than WW2. Not that I object to that. I'm not inserting it into any particular real-life war, it's just the events from the game with a similar aesthetic & technology to early 20th century wars. That said, Ortengryn's appearance was based on research I did specifically on WW1/WW2/Dieselpunk stuff. Ah, I see it now. The helmet looked like a bandana when I first looked and it gave him this real 1960's hippie look. Which I thought seemed somewhat strange since out of anyone Duncan would be Ironrath's resident hippie. Shit, now I want to see the Forresters in 'Nam. Asher would totally be the guy wearing a vest with no shirt underneath that goes into battle with only a knife.

Forrester Nam photo, with Asher clearly being Martin Sheen from Apocalypse Now! Ludd has to be Marlon Brando! Also yeah, Duncan would totally be the peace loving hippie that Nixon hated.

Uh, not trying to make Jake feel obligated to make that now. I was just thinking of how cool it would be.

Who named the place where they could get an army? Malcolm and Beskha, not Asher. Though if this all sounds like it was an easy two second choice, no it wasn't at all in the slightest, it was painfully hard to the point that I had to pause the game and ponder.

Hell I instantly picked to save Rodrik as soon as I saw the choice, but that didn't make it any less sad.

Side note, I also have another reason for saving Rodrik, though this never came to mind during the choice, Rodrik saved my ass in real life. Because he lived, I didn't have to wear a Belle dress on camera! Never occurred to me at all until now, but it is a reason none the less, however minor.

Wait, was that a dare or something that you'd do if Rodrik died in Ep. 1? I satyed off the GoT thread until right after Ep. 3 came out, so IDK much before that.

Well me and Michael made a bet on if Rodrik was alive or not, I said he was alive, he said he was dead. Michael said that he would eat his hat on camera if he lost. I wagered that if I lost, I would have to wear my girlfriends Belle ballroom gown on camera. As you can guess, neither of us wanted to lose! I ended up winning in the end, and Michael did eat his hat on camera, if I had lost, then I willingly would have had to wear a dress on Youtube. So yes, Rodrik Forrester saved me from the biggest humiliation, and for that I was forever thankful.

Boy did I have a long interesting conversation with my girlfriend when I asked if I could borrow that dress, thank god she didn't doubt me and ended up finding the entire situation hilarious.

Quick question @jakest123, I was just scrolling through your deviantart and I saw that almost all of your Transformers Prime and Matrix artwork aren't up. Did you take them off?
