Guarantee itβs a ruse. The ultimate death fake out. Make everyone believe Rickβs gone at the mid season finale and he reappears at the end of the mid season premiere.

I somehow don't think it will keep it up. And more important is the ratings at this point.

Season 9 has begun. Plenty of time has passed since the war. I really like how Baby Judith has grown. Though, I guess I should call her little Judith now since she's not a baby anymore. Also, I like how the intro was changed to look more animated. I laughed at that "De-evolution of Man" moment, and I gotta say, Father Gabriel looks damn cool in that hat. That one walker with the spiders crawling out of its eyes and mouth? Oh, my god that was so creepy! I'd be shitting myself if I was in Siddiq's position. King Ezekiel proposing to Carol while on horses was sweet. Getting down on one knee is so overrated right? Aw, and poor Ken died saving a horse. I sympathize the parents for their loss, but I'm tired of people always playing the blame game like this. Damn that coward Gregory. He didn't know the boy or was even there. And the audacity to use the Dad to kill Maggie while she was walking with baby by getting him drunk like that. I'm glad that Maggie hung him like that. Good. Fucking. Riddance. If it were up to me, I would've gotten rid of that chickenshit a long time ago. Don't know if I would've put him down or banished him out of the state. I just hoping they don't cross the line completely of being just like the Governor or Negan. I wonder how things will go with the quid pro quo between Maggie and Rick to repair the bridges and give food to the Saviors. Also, I like that Maggie named her baby boy after her daddy. Rest in Peace, Scott Wilson (AKA Hershel Greene) .

Gotta love how a giant "RICK GRIMES' FINAL EPISODES" banner spoiled his leaving for my non-internet-dwelling dad :L

Pretty slow first episode but I liked it. I think focusing more on the characters now and less on action is exactly what the show needed.
I also really love the new intro.

Pretty fucking baller second episode.
I hate to say it, because I'm probably going to be disappointed, but is the show getting back to its glory days?

another slow but decently good episode. I'm not won over yet but it's more watchable than basically all of season 8 so that's something

It feels like you guys say that at the start of every season before getting really disappointed by the middle and the end. Pretty much. The thing is, most of the seasons start off strong as fuck, then fall apart in the middle and either get better or worse near the end. It's so inconsistent in quality. But for last season, that shit was terrible. Feel free to quote me if I'm wrong, but I remember feeling very meh about last season's first episodes. I'll probably be disappointed soon.
