It IS an awfully prickish move with no justification, but he wasn't always an asshole like he was in Episodes 3 and 4. He was a pretty awesome guy in Episode 1. I guess I just don't hate him because I also look back at what he did before then, and instead I'm just really sad that he became such a bad person. At least he made up for it in episode 5 with the whole Ben/Christa scenario. I find it hard to hold grudges, but I'm fairly certain I would never have forgiven Ben in Kenny's position. If I can't forgive Lilly, then I would not have forgiven Ben if I was Kenny, respect.

Well then you killed Larry. If you decide to save Larry, Ken lets you die twice. And for what? Deciding that you shouldn't kill an old man? He used to be my favorite character, then the bullshit with him practically being Lilly came up, and then I looked at his actions more closely... And...

Do you think Kenny made up for the bad things he did by trying to save Ben/Saving Christa in Episode 5? Or do you think he needed to do more for redemption? Or was he just trying to kill himself in a heroic fashion? Just curious, of course. Since Lilly never had a chance to do anything like he did in his final scenes, I want to know if you view those differently than the stuff he did while Lilly was around.

I think saving Ben was the highlight of Ken's lifespan (Christa, not so much), but the fact that he would do anything like the door, just for Larry makes him a bad person.

Goddamnit, Bill had an honorable mention, too, and I somehow didn't see it coming. I got sad again.

I've always thought that something Christa said at the start of 4 really applied to him, even if I, personally, think he wasn't a bad person when he reached the end of the line. "Since this thing started, I've seen the best come out of a lot of people, and the worst come out of a lot of others. I guess we know which side you fell on."

The answer is both sides, as evidenced by (determinately) saving her life within 48 hours.

Kenny wanted to leave, or at least think of a way to get it. Christa just jumped in, with no plan on how to get out. And I agree that both sides apply to Kenny, Michael. The thing is, we only got to see his best in Episodes 1 and 5. The rest of the time, well...

He had his highs and lows, but they his highs were quite high, and his lowest is still not as bad as Lilly's lowest point.

Oh shit he did that. Well, so did Lee for most people (be it through Danny or eventually the stranger, almost everyone had Clem see Lee kill). At least Kenny didn't just comly shake it off like Lilly did after Carley.
