It took a few hours to get to Vernon's base, not 'a few minutes' Wrong. From the manor to the sewer is about 20 minutes tops (Kenny said its only a few blocks away), and from the sewer to Vernon's base is like 3 minutes. It would take even longer for Pete since he has to limp.

I'm pretty sure steal/don't steal the food is around 50/50. I'm surprised so many people did not want to take the food from abandoned station wagon, while the while group was starving. If others wouldn't take it anyway, they could've just starve to death. I didn't take the food because I felt like shit after everything that had happened at the dairy. I shot Jolene, I helped Kenny kill Larry, and felt horrible even though I was, and am, convinced it was the smart thing to do. Then I killed Danny to make sure he wouldn't come after us if he somehow escaped. Of course, after Clem saw that, well... I just felt I had to come back from all that killing somehow. It's funny that, when my saves got wiped when Episode 5 was released, taking the food was the ONE choice I considered changing. I thought "How could this possibly matter in Episode 5?" Thankfully, I wasn't THAT stupid. On the subject of Pete's amputation, they probably aren't at the cabin in that scene from the "Next Time" segment. I thought it was just some random shack that they stumbled across that was close by. I think it's possible that he'll survive, so long as the amputation is high up enough and we haven't seen any signs of the bite spreading too far by the time we get to slice him up.

I don't think Pete will survive. Look at Lee. Vernon's group's base is about the same distance away from the manor as the fish traps are from the cabin. When Lee got to Vernon's base, he FAINTED. Meaning it got to his brain and infected it. Already. In a matter of a few minutes. By the time Clem and Pete get back, the infection will surely be past his leg. If Clem cuts the leg off at the knee, Pete's gonna die from the infection. If she cuts the WHOLE thig off, he's gonna die of blood loss. fairly positive that Vernon's Morgue is a lot further away from the house than the river was from the Cabin, seeing as we never saw how far the house was really from the bay and the only reference we have for where the Vernon Morgue is is from the sewers and the bay connection. And walker bites don't work that way. Walker bites only kill the people they bite and that's only because they have more disease in their mouth than most humans. The germs don't need to spread to the brain, it's the heart that you gotta be worried about.
