As seen in the episode 1 preview, Pete is bitten in the ankle and the camera zooms in on what I believe to be a saw. My guess is we will get an option to cut it off, or leave it. Or we just do it without a choice. But if the foot is cut off, do you think he'll survive? They'd have to get it off fast after he was bitten, and the walk from the riverbank to the cabin seems far. And he could die of blood loss if they amputation is not treated properly. But in the preview, it seems they are in a titled white/gray room? Is this the cabin or another place? And why are Oete and Nick not seen in any otger scenes in the preview besides the first few seconds?
Give me your thoughts and predictions!

I really hope he'll survive, he is my favourite from the new characters. I think there won't be a choice to leave or cut off the leg. There will be a choice to let Pete do it, or do it for him. Nick probably survived, if TT wanted to kill him off in save Pete scenario, then they would just do it in episode 1. I think Pete will survive te amputation somehow and die in episode 3 or near the end of episode 2.

If we do the operation successfully, Pete lives, if you fail or do it too slow, he dies. Now that be an interesting choice, and would affect future episodes And I'd love to see the stats of who failed/succeeded in the operation

Yeah, that would be cool, but it probably won't happen.
It would be great if Pete would survive the amputtation and stay alive until episodes 4 or 5. That would make our choices really matter, because he would be dead for some players.

Yeah, I hope your choice of Pete/Nick really makes an impact and if they die they die in different ways and the group does things differently, opposed to Doug and Carley doing almost the exact same thing in every episode and dying in almost the exact same way

I bet he will die either way, knowing Telltale as he can be dead either way, and either Nick dies either way, or he lives either way.

I hope he does. After playing the game Pete suddenly became incredibly awesome in my eyes, at first I was going to save Nick because I knew Pete was going to get bit but after getting to know him I really liked him and I had to save him.
But honestly? He probably won't survive. Might not even cut it off, I think it's not going to be a choice, I think that Clementine will either go for it or not depending on your choice with Lee's arm. For example if you cut Lee's arm off, Clem knows that amputation doesn't work so she tells Pete that it's not worth it. If you didn't cut Lee's arm off she might believe the amputation would work as she didn't experience what happened to Lee if he did.
That's my theory.

ANyway, I'm pretty sure there will be an important choice at the beggining. To amputate Pete's leg or leave him, or to let Pete amputate his leg or do it for him. Your theory about getting supplies also sounds cool. I want Pete to live for much longet than 1 episode and beggining of second.

Then what will it be for Nick? There has never been a episode where a choice affected what a later choice would be, that is my thought, I say either way he dies, I mean I say that place is not the cabin, and if it is to much time has passed, I really wish that is not the case, and I have been wrong before, but knowing what Telltale has done before, its not likely.

And I might even trust him a bit more than Luke because he's more experienced and human. And about the "bite", lol at first I thought he just shot his foot, did anyone else think that?

No, it looked like a bit to me, and a scratch is still fatal.

Lol, that would be great. At the way to the river he's critizing Nick's shooting skills, five minutes later he shoots his own foot.

No one took notice of my theory?

No one took notice of my theory? Yeah, I think your theory is really possible, but Pete said that he heard the amputation worked for his cousin, so he might want to do it anyway.

I was so invested in the episode and I hear a gunshot and "oh shit" and the camera pans on his wound. I was like GODDAMNIT PETE
