So these past couple weeks I got really into Homestuck. Like, *really* into Homestuck. I'm not sure I've taken to anything as quickly as I did this. Maaaaaaaaybe Walking Dead/Telltale? It was a pretty random thing, too. Before this point, literally the only thing I knew about Homestuck were these weird demons called trolls and 1 THOUGHT TH3Y 4LL T4LK3D L1K3 TH1S. Anyway, was talking with a youtuber I follow and she recommended Homestuck to me and told me it was like The Dark Tower. I'm a huge Dark Tower fan so I thought, sure, I'd check it out. And now here we are.
For context, Homestuck is... a webcomic? It's more like a whole multi-media internet storytelling monstrosity but... yeah, a webcomic. A webcomic that's 8,000 pages long. About 300,000 words longer than War and Peace. There are... a lot of shenanigans taking place in Homestuck. It's kinda slow and there's some parts that I'd say are even outright hostile to the reader, but it's p funny, has some absolutely insane cosmic shenanigans going on, I love all the characters, and I think for anyone who does stuff creatively it's a must read.

There's also a game called Hiveswap? It's set in the same universe and has some references to certain characters, but otherwise it's an original story being told through a really charming adventure game. Only problem is there's only 1 of the 4 acts out rn and indications are that it's on a bit of a hiatus, so it might be a while before it's finished. Still, there was a pretty great visual novel called Friendsim that was released over the course of last year to make up for the lack of Act 2 :P

I've also personally been getting into "classpects". In Homestuck characters embody one of twelve aspects, and they have one of twelve classes that dictate how they wield their aspect. (ex. Heir of Breath, Knight of Time, Seer of Light, Witch of Space, etc.) The fandom is pretty big into classpects and I had a lot of fun figuring mine out. I'm a Sylph of Breath, which is one who heals a lack of freedom or heals using freedom to the benefit of others.
Anyway, I guess I might post more stuff here? I'm getting into some of the fan adventures(basically fan-fiction but in the same format as Homestuck), and looking forward to more of Hiveswap. It's a pretty big thing to get into, but in my opinion, it's super worth it.
