Is it just me or have I killed many NPCS that have Kenny's voice? You are correct.

Could be common knowledge given that I haven’t played it, but figured it was worth mentioning anyways. 🤷♂️

The reason why you collect pigeons for him is kinda sad and sweet which makes it all the more rewarding when you collect 'em all, besides the fact that it's motherfucking LEE

Just got onto chapter 5, how fucking long is this game. I'm not complaining though, having a hell of a time with it.

Arthur’s former bae Mary is a smokestack. I’d put her side by side with Abigail.

I also just made it to Chapter 5. MASSIVE spoilers ahead. I knew the bank job would go wrong, and I figured some people would die, but it was still a punch to the gut. Seeing Hosea get shot down like a dog by Milton... it hurt. Hosea was nice. Wise. Restrained. And he was just gunned down as a "Fuck you" to Dutch from Agent Milton. I was pissed.
It all went to hell and during the escape over the rooftops when Lenny got shot... man, I stopped being pissed and was just sad. I liked Lenny a lot. He was the kid that Arthur, a seasoned outlaw, took under his wing. Like Arthur's little brother. He showed him the ropes, helped him rob a stagecoach, rained hell down on the Lemoyne Raiders with him, and got absolutely shitfaced drunk with him. He didn't even get a scene like Hosea did, he was just shot in the chest by a couple of Pinkertons who rounded the corner. It happened pretty fast... And even though I expected him to die since Chapter 2 it still felt like getting hit with a ton of bricks. I'll miss ya, kid.
Charles better not be dead. I like him too.
The gang is dropping like flies, and each time it's agonizing because I care about them (Except Micah), even though it's a given that many of them will end up dead. Rockstar did an incredible job of showing what John meant when he said the gang was like a family.

I, too, just started Chapter 5. Okay, Hosea was a punch to the guts but LENNY? Lenny was punching a hole in my guts and then ripping them out and shoving them down my throat. LENNY! WHY LENNY!??! WHY NOT MICAH!?!?
Every fucking job involving Micah goes to shit. He's got to be some sort of informant for Milton. And there's no way Charles is dead, possibly captured but no way is that the last of him. Now Arthur, Bill, Dutch, and Micah (Javier being locked up and all... also, holy fuck I will always feel terrible about killing Javier in RDR1 now. He's just such a good fuckin' guy. And why is Javier the one captured? Why couldn't it be Micah?
And am I correct that this is the last job that John was a part of in Dutch's gang? Meaning we likely won't see him until at least the end of the game? Fuuuck. I hope not, but this bank job fits the description of the job that turns John against Dutch's gang.

Yeah, as for the robbery, I can vouch for that. Rocky here's a stone-cold mofo, taking down carriages and witnesses (some of them at least), wanted guys (like a boss, despite the guy's plea that he's a changed man). And he played so good he actually made me consider getting the game, which I intend to buy in the near future.
Obligatory SPOILER ALERT, though this is so incredibly minor I don't think it will matter. It's just a random event that happens after completing a small bounty mission in Rhodes, the very same one Tom just mentioned. So yeah, if spoilers that minor concern you (No judgement) then turn away now. That Wanted man I took in Tom, I actually met him again earlier today, believe it or not.
At his hanging.
His name was Mark Johnson. I stumbled over the event on my way north out of town late in the evening with the sheriff himself presiding over the execution. A crowd of onlookers had gathered to watch the final minutes of Mark Johnson's life as the sheriff, pacing back and forth with a voice as loud and passionate as a preacher's, reminded them all that nobody can escape the reach of the law forever. For justice will have its day and, despite the guilty man's attempt to begin anew, there are no second chances for the lawless and the wicked. The only fate that awaits miscreants such as these is the noose. Family or no, Mark Johnson's sins had caught up to him as they will one day catch up to us all.
He gave the order and his deputy pulled the lever. Mark Johnson fell without a word, a fall that was cut short when the rope around his neck snapped taught with an echoing crunch that signaled the end of his life.
I widowed his wife. His son will grow up without a father. His redemption was cut short by a greedy outlaw, one worse than him, masquerading as a bounty hunter. I shouldn't have felt bad. After all, I got my 25 dollars out of it... Oh wow. I wonder what's going to happen now... maybe Johnson's son will come after you in the future? Or maybe he'll end up on the wanted list as well, following in his father's footseps and you'll have to take him down too?
I think I'll get the game this weekend.

End of Chapter 5 spoilers: WOW Everything is going to complete shit. Also, if Arthur dies from motherfucking tuberculosis I'm gonna be pissed. I assume he contracted it earlier on by Thomas Downes? He was coughing and spit blood into Arthur's face. And then we heard Thomas Downes actually died. Fuuuck.
Molly is added to the pile of corpses while Dutch is losing his mind, he was literally giving one of his speeches to only Micah who was asleep, SPEAKING OF MICAH, he's trying to usurp my position of being Dutch's right-hand man. Fuck him so much.
It's all gonna go downhill from here. I'm about to do the mission involving breaking John out of prison so I'm glad that John is not yet out of the story.

This game is fucking depressing. I haven't felt such suffocating hopelessness and emotional pain since playing The Walking Dead Season 1.

End of Chapter 5 spoilers as well. I'd say odds are good that Micah still set Arthur up to be captured by the O'Driscolls, but now I'm not sure he was responsible for the bank robbery going sideways. Molly admitted to telling Milton, but... maybe she was just drunk and crazy? Micah has no loyalty to the gang beyond what he can personally get out of them, and the price for bringing down the Van der Linde gang would be HUGE after the massacres in Blackwater, Valentine, and Rhodes. Notice how the captain down in Guarma also got captured after Micah was sent to speak to him, and then half the Cuban military realized their plans and set up artillery to prevent their escape until presumably the Pinkertons arrived. I bet that fucker is just waiting to collect on our bounty, even if Molly was the one who ratted us out to Milton and not him.
The tuberculosis diagnosis was just... crushing. It feels like Lee almost. All the shit that we went through and it's some damn terminal illness that will probably do us in. Arthur 100% deserves this because he's a terrible person but I still don't want him to die like this. Not before shooting Milton and Cornwall at least.
