I'm not thrilled about it either. Seems like TWAU2 was nearly not even a thing, and they're unsure if it will even be successful, and they definitely don't have high hopes for TWDS4 according to that Variety report, so they're probably fast-tracking Stranger Things bc they think it's got the most potential to be a big commercial success for them. Wait what variety report on expectations? Because if Telltale isn't excited, then ohhhhhhh boy. They're not expecting much financially, but are appaerently hoping to end it on a high note quality-wise

So he's listed as a writer for Stranger Things for 2018/2019. So, we might see a premiere for that by the end of the year? Also, he credited himself as the Season Lead Writer for "[Shelved 2018 Project]". Wonder what that could've been. He didn't work on Season One, so probably not Game of Thrones? Maybe a canceled third season of Minecraft(not exciting, but makes the most sense given he was the lead on both Season One and Two of Minecraft). idk, weird. Anyway, the point of me looking all this up was the just see what he'd worked on so maybe we can get a sense of what Stranger Things is gonna be like. He was the Season Lead Writer on MCSM S2 and MCSM S1 - Adventure Pass. He was also the lead writer or a writer on a lot of the episodes of MCSM S1. He was the lead writer on Ep. 4 of Batman S1 Wrote for the first 3 episodes of TFTB, and was the lead writer on Episode 3. He was also the co-lead writer for Amid the Ruins. So.... I'm guessing the big influence here is gonna be MCSM. So maybe they're more kid-focused? Also worth noting though is that he's not the Season Lead on ST, or even a lead writer at all(yet). He's just one of probably many in the writer's room.

He's just one of probably many in the writer's room. He mentioned that when I asked him on Tumblr if he would be involved with the Stranger Things game. Wasnβt gonna bother probing any information since he is, as he put it, ridiculously sworn to secrecy. I do think this will turn out to be good. What Iβm thinking is that we may play as someone like El and Kali; someone with their own unique powers and abilities while paired up with a new group of characters. There may even some good tough choices. Remember when El had to make a choice to kill that guy Ray or spare him while his daughters were in the next room? Imagine being in her shoes. Also, seeing as how the show focuses on different perspectives, maybe thereβs a chance we will play as multiple characters in the game. Of course, these are just my thoughts on what may or may not happen in the game.

Hurah, play as characters from that one episode everyone hated in season 2.

Which would you guys prefer when playing this series?
Single playable protagonist ("Everyone's looking at you to lead"), or Multiple playable protagonists? ("We're all in this together, we're a group")

Eric Stripe had already left for LA and is actively finding a place to work before the layoffs started. Back then, after I saw his last post on Tumblr, All I was worried over was, "who's going to take his place?". But now... well, you know. This was posted on the Telltale forum, showing what looks like a legit leak of the game (that will never be published).

Honestly I'm more surprised that they went with the show characters rather than telling a new story.

I don't care how it looks visually, the fact that it was going to follow the main cast instead of a new one was amazing.
Goddamn, this hurts.
