I still think The Ice Dragon was a fantastic episode fight me Me too. A Nest of Vipers, tho, was pretty lame. I'm the world's biggest ttgot apologist and even I can admit ep5 wasn't the best by any stretch of the imagination. In other news I sent the creative director a DM asking about stuff that happened during development. Hopefully he'll get back to me.

I really wonder if it's a real thing that the Traitor storyline was rewritten to change the traitor from being Elissa to Royland/Duncan, or if it was always the plan. Like, where even did the rumor spread that the was rewritten, bc I don't think there was ever any solid evidence for it.

I just found a file called "Ortengryin Traitor Reveal" or along that line but I can't quite remember.

That... still wouldn't have been great, tbh, but probably better than Duncan/Royland.

I still stand by the fact that the mom would've been the best traitor.

Hell even as it stands it's obviously him since he gets next to no screentime in episode 6 and apparently dies off camera. It's obvious what the plan was and too many people figured it out.

I doubt he'll respond but if he does I'll be sure to ask about the traitor thing.

I doubt he'll respond but if he does I'll be sure to ask about the traitor thing. I just would've more directly asked about the Traitor thing, as that question is otherwise a bit general and they could potentially interpret it as bait to answer something they shouldn't.

As for the traitor plot, I think they should've stuck with the Maester being the traitor. Having Duncan/Royland be the traitor felt like a contrived instance for Telltale to be able to say player choices mattered, and also reeked of rewrites since the motive was super shaky.

I've spoken to the guy a couple times, at this point he's kind of an 'acquaintance' than me just DMing him out of nowhere. Mutuals on twitter and all that.

Funfact: Meghan Thornton, the lead writer of the Batman S2 finale, was the original Season Lead Writer of The Walking Dead: Season Three back when it was in preproduction. It was her version of the season that was getting advertised between E3 and November 2016 before they blew the whole thing up and started over again with Brad Kane as the new Season Lead Writer(for one episode before they fired him lol) a month before the premiere
Why Telltale. Why
(She also was a writer on every episode of GOT, and the lead writer for episodes 2 and 5)
