Finished episode 3 and holy shit! That was amazing, each episode keeps getting better, something only season 1 ever did out of the Telltale catalog. Goddamn, I dont even know where to start. The torture scene where you can fuck up Abel EVEN MORE! I didn't but I'm imagining a playthrough where he gets every single possible injury. Anyway the Walker scene with Grateful Dead fan James was tense and oddly beautiful. I dont think they are people but it was a nice moment. The Louie scene and party were so sweet. Telltale where were these writers when the creature known as Gabe walked among us. Learning everyone's backstory was fun, though damn was Louis's backstory was darker then I figured. Same with Violet. That song was touching no matter what version. Although the amount of foreshadowing or misdirection put me on edge. Oh god I dont want these people to die, or Clem, I really hope it's just misdirection. The Lee scene made me cry. Ten times better then season 2s Lee scene. He looked great, Dave Fannoy still kicks ass, and it's a genuinely great look into Clems psyche. The boat scene was about as tense as I've gotten in quite sometime. Lillys story about Larry reminds me of my dad, he gets pissy when I forget to leave the lights on. He doesnt do what Larry did at least. And it climaxed with such a great moment. A fight with Lilly the she devil. Man stabbing that knife felt great, and then the final choice came. I had to think about it beforehand, it wasnt easy... I'm fucking with you. It wasn't hard in the moment. I saw through that disguise, the scared little girl crying for help. Bullshit. Lilly can read a room and figure what to say. She really does remind me of a killer I've been reading about, the most hated woman in England, Myra Hindley. She also could read a room and manipulate like no other. She had to go, for Carley. And the way she went put a smile on my face. A bullet right through the cheek. Oh Telltale you shouldn't have. It only took seven years but I can end this long chapter of my gaming life and even overall life. To quote James Bond, the bitch is dead.

What happened in that piano room, Bio? Are Clem and Louis more than friends now? Did they kiss? Did you save him? Tell me everything. Damn right. Heart around C and L, happy banter, the whole nine yards. It was adorably cute. Unlike Gabe, a kid that made me want to sterilize the human race. It felt good. I'm so happy you like him, Bio.

I'm so happy you like him, Bio. Me too. Did it really have to take three seasons for a good comedic character to show up? Probably not but hey better late then never. I mean who can hate a witty duster coat wearing Bob Marley look alike with a heart of gold?

People find ways to hate him, trust me. I like your description of him though, very fun. I'm glad we have someone to lighten the mood this season so it's not all doom and gloom.

I could figure judging by the group stream he wasnt universally beloved. Well at least the alternative isnt a terrible character. No Jane v Kenny here, if you like Violet more I won't judge. I do like the depth in him though Kind hearted jokester that lives in the moment but christ man his backstory was fucked up. Actually both characters were really really bad. I like that. I figured troubled youth due to being a class clown. Not I fucked up my parents divorce and bank accounts because dad didnt give me what I want.

His backstory really adds to his character despite how genuinely fucked up it is. After hurting his parents and splitting up his family, he hasn't forgiven himself, and is desperately trying to keep the only family he has left together, and avoids hurting anyone else as best he can.

Oh it fits, it just comes as a shock. Violets backstory while equally fucked up, makes sense for the character after dealing with her. This was a tad bit of a left turn.

Compilation of important moments from old games, then 2 seconds of some eerie shit from the actual episode with a dramatic Clem line to finish.

Only prediction I can think of. Aside from that, Melissa did answer some good questions from the Tumblr AMA.

I predict that they're going to bamboozle us and they'll be a happy ending instead with Clem, her love interest/best friend, AJ, and the kids that survived, all together at the school, one big happy family.
Skybound, please, I need this

In fact, here's some happy ending concepts I came up with on the fly during a conversation last night, featuring a romanced Louis. I know they might seem too overly happy for the walking dead universe, but it was just wishful thinking.
-The game ends with Clem, AJ and Louis in the music room, with Louis playing his originally composed song 'Clementine' (he played and named it in episode 2, for all you Violet fans out there) to them, before sitting AJ on his lap, and showing him how the piano works. Louis and Clem share a loving look, before the screen cuts to black.
-Or Clem and Louis are outside the school, they've just got back after surviving all of the hardships, and AJ is waiting over by the gate to head inside. Louis turns to Clem and goes "Looks like we live another day... Do you think tomorrow will be any easier?" And Clem goes "Whatever happens, we'll get through it together." Then they kiss, catch up with AJ, Louis picks him up and puts him on his shoulders, and they walk inside, finally home.
-Maybe there could be one last hub area at the end of the game in the school yard, where you get to talk to whoever survived, while AJ and Louis are the last people you get to talk to, and they share a sweet, touching family moment, Louis kisses Clem on the cheek and pulls AJ into a tight hug. AJ asks "Do you think things will be better?" And Clem looks at Louis, takes his hand, and then hugs AJ again and goes "As long as I've got you two, then everyday will be better than the last."

I believe it'll be a bittersweet ending. No way they make it entirely happy, at least I don't think so. Those scenarios sound great though.
