For a more recent sample of his work, see Rogue One. Or don't. Heard it was ok, was it even worse than ep7? It had one good character, and a pretty nice final battle, but other than that it was pretty bleh.

ROgue One was shite
Apparently Mark Darin was responsible for the original storyline until Disney wanted reshoots for it and someone else took over. So maybe don't blame Mark
Or do, that's fine too idgaf

holy fucking shit they didn't even touch the textures and that's like the worst aspect of TWD1's visuals They actually did; they have comparison screens you can find.

I mean, to be fair about Around Every Corner, it's actually really well written(Ben choice, Crawford, the confrontation with Vernon is one of the most iconic moments, Molly is a really good character, Kenny's whole arc in that episode is really good, etc.), it's just bad from a design standpoint. The thing that makes it feel so slow and plodding is that someone thought it'd be a good idea to have these really big empty hud areas(a problem with S1 in general that kills the pacing imo), backtracking through the school, poorly designed puzzles(again, imo, Telltale episodes get worse the more gameplay that have), and just... flatout weird choices like the "sidequest" to find out what happened with Molly, the first person shooter sections, etc. None of that really has to do with the writing, so really, the lead designer of Around Every Corner should get the flak for that being the worst episode, not Gary Whitta.

I thought Rogue One was, like, universally beloved... Same thing happened with Episode 7. For a while after it came out everyone was saying it was the greatest movie of all time, best thing they'd ever seen, etc, and then Rogue One got closer and people did a total 180 and shat all over Episode 7 and embraced Rogue One, but then it happened again. Of course that doesn't apply to everyone but it's the trend I've seen.

I'm probably gonna pass on this collection, sucks that it's on consoles. Getting to the files is gonna be a pain.
On a side note, they could've used high-poly models on the characters, but I suppose higher quality textures and better shaders would suffice... for a Telltale remaster.

Getting to the files is gonna be a pain. tbh this is what I'm most curious about - comparing the two versions to see how much they actually did.

I'm also thinking of the probability of bringing the remaster to PC, through modding of course.
Because Telltale doesn't seem like they're gonna release the collection to PC.

Like it had a great premise but it's hard to give a shit if none of the characters give a shit.
