This whole game is a cringy meme fiesta. Once you accept that, you can have A LOT of fun while playing it. It is one of the best comedies ever made.

Funny or not, the biggest crime of this game - and Telltale in general - is how forgettable it is. People barely cared when each episode premiered, most comments focused on how illogical and stupid the story was - and now, that the game is over, people simply got over it quickly and that's that.
Even S2, regardless of how people received it, was a source of many discussions and anticipation for every episode. People discussed game endings for weeks. And ANF? No one cares.

Season 2 had a much stronger directorial voice. Every episode has huge moments that stick with you and resonate with you. Even if you don't like it - the episodes all have their insanely strong moments. Episode 1 had Omid's death, the dog fight, STILL. NOT. BITTEN., sneaking around the house at night. Episode 2 had the dialogue with Carver, the bridge scene, the ski lodge invasion. Episode 3 had Kenny brutally beating Carver to death with a club, the group walking through the herd, Clementine cutting of Sarita's hand with an axe. Episode 4 had the confrontation with Arvo, the death of Sarah, the child birth, the brutal cliffhanger. Episode 5 had the death of Luke, the scene where everything goes to shit, walking through the snow on your own, the final confrontation. All those moments - even if you don't like them - you have to admit that they are extreme and that they are memorable. Season 3? I couldn't cite ANY moment that sticked with me. Maybe the death of the child in the first episode? What was her name? No idea. Then, episodes 2 to 4, I already cannot remember what the fuck happened.

I was at a soccer game and was pissed because I couldn't be on here and talk about it. Then it was almost three years of waiting. All for something that began and wrapped in five months that had no hype, no discussion and limited interest. It's a fucking tragedy looking back on it. 2014 me would be so, so, so, so sad.

wha the fuck? not that's just fantastic, though to be fair, if i were javi in that situation, i too would be shocked in fear after seeing a walker speaking and then kill myself via invisible walker too.

Some interesting shit on the AMA thread on the ttg forum... they're like, telling people backstories and stuff they were too lazy to put in the game. Also mentioned the original plotline where Javier had to save Gabe, David and Mari from the NF after initially joining them and being branded then being chucked out or some shit.
Also Mari's original death had Javier having to put her down and she always had a 'finite lifespan' which is a complete crock of shit because it means her whole character always existed for the sake of emotional manipulation (which it did the wrong way in the end, too).
Also Joan was modelled as Eleanor's mother originally and Lingard's model was going to be used for a Big Bad.

Also mentioned the original plotline where Javier had to save Gabe, David and Mari from the NF after initially joining them and being branded then being chucked out or some shit. With the pre-release screenshots, last year's E3 trailer and the videos with cut content, I always envisioned the original story as Javier getting caught just like it occured in the game, but instead of being stopped by the tree (that moment is still WTF) he made it to his destination, the slaughterhouse. That's where he'd met Clem. With the E3 trailer and Javi saying 'that one was marked too, we must be getting close', I imagine that both he and Clem were branded, because that's what TNF would do to people - mark them and later kill them. Clem and Javier would work together to escape, probably help some people who were imprisoned too and they would get away (hence the ANF official pre-release artwork). Maybe they'd make it to Prescott, Javi would (I don't know how) find his family or something. Then they would try to figure out where TNF HQ is located (as seen in the trailer), after they did, people at Prescott would try to come up with a plan of attack, but before anything could happen they would be attacked by TNF (and that's probably when Mari would be killed etc.) Prescott would be destroyed, but some people would manage to escape and later assault TNF with whatever they had left. At least that's how I imagine one of the versions of the story with so many rewrites going on.

It's funny how the E3 sneak peek made Javi looks so tough and mean when really he was just a silly goose.

I still can't believe this season was real. I talked to a friend of mine about the whole thing today and holy shit we are amazed how bad it was. It began with the Kenny flashbacks, went on to Clementine murdering a person and then acting like it was nothing, from there it went to Jesus being shoehorned in there for fanservice alone, then episodes 3 and 4 happened which are a complete bland mess EXCEPT for Clementine's bleeding vagina, and then, with Episode 5, Telltale released the worst written piece of fiction in history.
Is this real life?
