So, I think this would be an interesting thing to do.... so basically, look at your past stories that you've written, whether it be a Walking Dead fanfic, or original story, whatever... and well, maybe you'll cringe like me, or despise it, or whatever.
I'm gonna start with my "Interactive Fanfiction" TWD: Right or Wrong over at the Telltale forum. Looking back on it, it's absolutely terrible and I couldn't believe my writing back then. EGH. Also, my TWAU fanfiction, I don't even know what the fuck I was doing back then, to be honest. It was horrid.
My Nick fic, Always the Quiet Ones wasn't as bad, I think, but it was still pretty goddamn bad.
And the start of Forum Users in The Walking Dead was pretty shit, but I think as I'm doing that, I'm growing as a writer. Season 1 had a rough start, and it got slightly better as the season progressed, Season 2 was back and forth... and meh, I think it was better than Season 1 but it wasn't exactly as memorable as I hoped it would be. Season 3 is definitely the most ambitious story I've ever done, where I switched between filming it in the Sims, going back to just writing it like Season 1 & 2, then filming the rest of Season 3 in GTA 5.
Ugh, whatever. I just hope Season 3 isn't as much cringe as my other stuff.
So, enough about me, what about you guys?

Some years ago, I did a Minecraft version of The Walking Dead. Yes. A fucking Minecraft version. It's still uploaded to my youtube (IN PRIVATE), it had 6 episodes and it was garbage. "John: Yes... you're right. Now we should only care about the present, the survival."

Eh, actually, I am kind of proud of some stuff. I mean, the initial version of What Comes After on the Telltale Forms was garbage, but is giving me the base for something better. The version I did in twine was also garbage, as was that sort Neo-noir thing.
Most of my RPs were garbage, though I feel weirdly proud of a few of them. The concepts, if nothing else.
A lot of my not so distant past writings I think hold up.
Stuff I wrote as a kid is awful though.

My first attempt at writing a fic was not TFTWL, but a story taking place during the 16-month break in TWDS2 between the death of Omid and Clem being separated for Christa. Planned for 5 chapters, I stopped writing it after the first one... I don't even remember now what was supposed to happen.
Who cares about it.
But the first longer thing I've ever written was a 84-page mafia story. It was a part of a school project, and it wasn't really good, even if other people said otherwise. I might have it somewhere on disc, but I don't think there's a point to posting it, since it's not written in English. Anyways, it was a story set in some fictional American city, about a guy (don't even remember the name) who becomes involved with mafia against his will. There was some stuff about a death in the family, extortion, assassination attempts etc. - just regular stuff you'll find in a crime story.

I have a lot of garbage stuff.
Some of my old fan fic's are absolutely terrible. My first fanfic, the one about Kenny, that was supposed to be a one shot, but it turned into a full blown story, and it was clear I didn't know what the fuck I was doing. Not to mention Kenny was really out of character for the most part. Now that one was bad.
A lot of the stories I wrote when I was younger are really bad. Back then I thought I was a writing genius, that everything I did was a masterpiece. What an idiot. One of them was about a talking dog. Really original, me, not like that's been done before.
Now I just hate everything I write because I don't think it's good.

ITF is pretty meh. It had its high notes, but suffered a lot thanks to lack of pre-planning. There was also no underlying message which made it feel like there wasn't really a 'point' to it aside from 'what happened to the 400 days characters'.
Same with the Thrones S2AU. I think in a lot of ways that was better than ITF, but also suffered from lack of direction early on. It got better as time went on, but it was kind of a problem in that I didn't know it was going to become what it did at the beginning. It was literally one picture that evolved into a year-and-a-half-long project.
I don't think it matters so much so long as you learn what's wrong and learn from it. That's why I like Haven - we know exactly what we want it to be from the get-go as we pre-planned for four months. We're so far ahead in the outlining stage it's insane.

Hey cool, never saw this thread.
Most of my stuff I can't bear to read anymore. When I think about it now I always think of ways I could have done things different or better. I wouldn't say I dislike any of them but damn, they sure could have used some improvement.
I'd say I liked writing Inferno the most. IIRC I was inspired to do that one after I found a machete that belonged to one of my friends and just fell in love with it. Like for real, I liked holding it, swinging it around, and just having it. I think my friends all got a little scared, so much so that the next time I visited they hid it from me. Like for real, they didn't want me to have it. I could sense some genuine fear.
Good times.
