Me to, I am okay with Clem but still, why did it have to be Omid? They could have just done really great conversation with Omid about the first game, talking about Lee in extreme detail, they did not have to kill him to make it sad damn it!

What is Christa went in instead, and got shot...In the baby.

Maybe Omid's the character that comes back in episode 2! (sarcasm!)

y'know what I just thought... What is Christa went in instead, and got shot...In the baby. That would have been just as bad and people would still be mad, I would still be mad, they did not have to kill someone off at the start to make it sad.

Well now that I think about it, the baby died either way, and Omid would not be all happy sunshine, it would be worse, but I still think they could have made it sad without killing someone, was the first 10 minutes of TWD season 1 sad? No, but it slowly got to that point, we did not expect episode 6 to be sad, so why force your hand? You need to give us time, give us some happy moments to show we are fighting for something worth while, make it feel like not everyone will die, then when we least expect it, kill the people we like, it was perfect for season 1 why could not they try to do the same again?

Shock value. They killed Omid for stupid shock value.

Which they did not need, if they had not killed Omid, the dog part would have been sad enough, they should have saved the lovable characters for later, as I said episode 3 was so smart, as only minor characters had died, and characters we hated, so we thought the people we liked would live, but then they just killed people left and right, and by the end we were sure everyone would die, it was perfect, why they choose to just kill for shock value, when there was not a single use of shock value in season 1 is mindbogglingly dumb.

Finding Mark with his legs cut off, Larry getting his skull smashed in, Carley getting shot. These were all done for shock value. Killing off Omid right off the bat was supposed to send a message: "This is still the apocalypse. Life hasn't gotten any easier. Anyone can still die at any time."

I don't consider Mark a shock, I suspected but it was shocking, Larry, well, I was not shocked because I made sure he did not turn, Carley might have been shock value but it was done so well that I don't considered it one, perhaps there were deaths for just shock value, but they were done much better then Omid.
