HE'S BACK! And then he died. I expected it from the moment he was confirmed to return but it still sucked to see. At least he died doing what he loved: screaming insults at someone. AND THEN HE CAME BACK AGAIN! And in his prime, no less. Now he has become more powerful than we could have possibly imagined... yeah, he's basically this show's Obi-Wan now.
On non-Scotsman related topics (Those exist?) I really enjoyed seeing Ashi finally come around. She's becoming a favorite character of mine. She's what Jack used to be: idealistic. She has the hope he lost. And I think next episode we're finally going to find out the deal behind the green horseman. As usual, I liked this episode. Not quite as much as the previous ones but it was still damn good.
Back to the Scotsman... how many fucking daughters does he have? Each one more T H I C C than the last. No wonder he's in a wheelchair, his lower body just gave out after however many years he spent just straight fucking all the women in sight. Now begins the new wait... Uh, I'm sorry, but there's only one woman for the scotsman. Thing of beauty, she is.

We're already halfway done with this season, and it still holds up.
I don't think there are any shows that came back like this.

Great fuckin' episode. I'm generally not a guy who likes these kind of nostalgia/throwback episodes, but damn this is the exception. We got the Woolies, the Arches, the Rave Kids, and DA SAMOORAI! And it wasn't just nostaliga (Although that was a lot of it) we actually got to see how these peoples' lives were changed by Jack and how they remember him 50 years later. Seeing Ashi experience the legend of Samurai Jack like that was pretty good.
Also, I thought she was wearing spandex or something all this time. But apparently she was naked. Unexpected.
And oh yeah, fucking Scaramouche lives, babe. And he got possibly the funniest line of the series.
Next week is Sword Week gentlemen. The hype is real. This season continues to knock it out of the fuckin' park.

Holy shit, that was fantastic! The Woolies, The three Blind Archers, the Rave kids, Demongo(did Aku brought him back to life?) and of course DA SAMURAI! And Scaramouche is alive aswell! And the final scene with Ashi convincing Jack about all the deeds he has done and him slicing the horseman, thus restoring his faith and deciding to get the sword back was epic!

Holy shit, Ashi was naked all that time. Great fanservice episode, I think it confirms that we'll see a big army of Jack's supporters in the last episode, led by Scotsman

I didn't know I needed an episode like that after I watched it. All the f*cking call backs, Ashi was naked all along and lost the Ilana-like hair style, Scaramouch lives and somehow Demongo too. And well Jack almost commited seppuku.

Honestly, this episode is the first one I didn't like. It was nice seeing old characters again, but goddamn, they spent WAYYYYYYYYY too much time on that Ashi finds Jack crap. So much more could have happened, if they had just cut even one or two of those random callbacks. The rave one especially dragged on imo (much as I loved (emphasis on LOVED) that episode in the original series). The only one that even got me to crack a smile was DA SAAMOOOOOOORAI, just because of the one Pop-Eye robot.
Ashi's development was interesting. Didn't realize she was naked, and then she turned into a fairy. Really all there was to her this episode.
Jack's part felt so rushed. If it had another couple minutes, I really would've liked that final scene, but as it stands, it just felt like, "oh crap, we gotta finish this on Jack returning to the call, but we spent so much time slobbing his knob earlier in the episode, we just don't have the time! Whatever, just put Ashi in danger, and have Jack instakill the big scary warrior we've been seeing for the entire season." Felt totally weightless and out of place in this otherwise much more grounded version of Samurai Jack imo.
And as for Scaramouche's part, that was seriously the most disappointing part of the entire episode. I really loved Scaramouche in episode one. I thought he was clever, well written, and a great nod to the monster-of-the-week formula of the previous seasons. But his return here not only takes away that monster-of-the-week quality from him, but it also just led to some cheap jokes (albeit well written) that could have been skipped to make more time for the incredibly rushed other parts of the episode. I mean, really all that B-plot established was that Scaramouche is alive (boo), he's in the Ocean, and he's now Aku's 3rd favorite assassin (OH NO). For taking up like 5ish minutes of screentime, they did nothing with it.

OLD JACK IS BACK, BABY! OH YEAH! And Ashi finally got her revenge on her asshole mom. That was so satisfying. Man, can't believe there are three episodes left. Another part of my childhood will be ending for good soon.

I preferred Jack when he had the beard. Just gonna drop that little tidbit right at the start.
Also I thought it was a bit of a... weird, I suppose, way for him to lose his sword. Like I thought that green horseman was the cause of it, which would have been more fitting I think.
Other than that I enjoyed the episode. Ashi kicked a ton of ass and killed her bitch mother which was really nice to see.
