Niccc FOR YOU
(and everyone else who cares, but I don't think so xD )
Alright, since it's likely never going to be released, here's the information about the full season storyline that was planned for the fic (it's just a general overview of the story):
The questions to 'build your backstory' were as follows:
1. Who did Lee save at the pharmacy? (Doug/Carley)
2. What happened to Danny St John? (killed/spared)
3. In the end, what happened to Lee? (killed him/left him)
4. Who did Clem end up with? (Kenny/Jane/Alone)
5. (depending on Q4) What happened at Wellington gates? (stayed/left with Kenny) / Let the family in? (Yes / No)
And so:
Episode 1 "Today is life"
(5 variations, depending on questions 4 & 5)
INFORMATION: The "stay at Wellington" ending and storyline will be described separately at the end)
ALONE
Clem tries to make it on her own with AJ and managed to snag some supplies by going back to Howe's, but not staying there; she intends to go all the way back to Atlanta and manages to avoid groups of people, but one day, on the road, she spots an oncoming car an reacts a bit too late before hiding since the driver noticed her. He stays in the car, but opens the passanger's seat and invites her. She, from behind a tree, tells him to drive away. He doesn't do that, instead picking up his gun and firing several shots to the sky, attracting the attention of walkers. Clem is basically ambushed since a herd walks towards the noise and Clem is in their way. She's forced to jon the stranger who introduces himself as Nate. He seems - or at least prenteds to be - unhinged and Clem doesn't trust him. He mentiones a young black dude who travelled with him once (Russel) and that he and Clem could be a cute pair. Clem still has her gun on her just in case, and Nate mentions he's on his own and says he'll take her wherever she wants. She says she wants him to drop her off on the outskirts of Macon.
Nate notices she has lots of useful stuff on her, but doesn't comment upon that.
He does as she wishes and drives away. She didn't trust him to say that she's going to stay at the motel from S1 where she and Lee stayed between Eps 1-3.
The place is abandoned, but not overrun. Clem stays the night there with AJ, but is ambushed by Nate who followed her. He tries to steal supplies from her, but she manages to slash him across the face with a knife and run away to safety.
JANE AND FAMILY
It's still the same day when Jane and Clem met the family. The entire groups plans for how to make Howe's more secure. Randy (the husband) proposes to check the permieter to look for any possible places walkers can use to sneak inside. Jane is uncertain and suggests that she goes with him. Clem:
a/ DANNY ST JOHN KILLED - agrees with Jane and tells her to go with Randy (Clem doesn't trust Randy)
b/ DANNY ST JOHN SPARED - disagrees and says that Jane might be needed here (Clem trusts Randy)
Patricia (the wife)decides to check on the supplies on the other part of the warehouse (assisted by Jane or not, depending on whether Jane left with Randy) and Gill (the kid) stays with Clem. He says that, maybe, while adults are doing the chores, they could play around like both of them used to before the apocalypse, but Clem disagrees and says that the world is different now - besides, she has AJ to take care of. Gill is sad, and brings up a situation after the outbreak that things have changed right now and he'd do anything to get that all back. Clem is sympathetic until the moment Gills mentions that Randy had to teach him how to use a gun. Clem thinks it's weird that Gills didn't call him "dad", just "Randy" and questions him about it. When Gills doesn't respond, Clem immediately knows something wrong and hastily makes her way to Jane.
Randy already has Jane at gunpoint and reveals that he, Patricia and Gills are not a real family, but strangers; he forced both of them to travel with him and pretend to be a family to steal supplies from naive survivors who trusted them. Clem tries to diffuse the situation (Patricia and Gills also make their way there, but they try to talk Randy down as they never killed anyone) but is unsuccessful and Randy shoots Jane. Clem kills Randy in retaliation and, after Patricia (in a shock) tries to attack Clem, Clem kills her too. Gills is scared, but Clem doesn't do anything with him. Deciding the place is not secure, she takes as much as she can with her and abandons Howe's with AJ, leaving Gills behind. He pleads with her to let him come, but she doesn't allow that.
JANE WITHOUT FAMILY
After turning the family away, the storyline is almost the same as with the family, but Clem and Jane do the chores on their own; at night they are attacked by the family. They're try to steal stuff, but are unsuccessful and, in the ensuing fight, Howe's catches on fire. The showdown is as follows:
After the family is cornered by Jane and Clem, Randy pulls a gun on Patricia and threatens to kill her if they won't give them supplies. Patricia is scared, but Clem and Jane think Randy's bluffing. Randy then kills Patricia and puts a gun to Gill's head and asks for the supplies once again. And then:
a/ DANNY ST JOHN KILLED - Clem shoots Randy before he can do anything. Gill is alive, but the burning parts of the rooftop fall between him and Clem&Jane and they can't help him without endangering their own lifes. Clem and Jane make it out with some supplies, but Gill was left behind and they are traumatized by the event.
b/ DANNY ST JOHN SPARED - Clem and Jane put down their guns. Randy steals supplies but abandons Gill and runs away. Gill is trapped, but Jane - despite a great risk - tries to save him. Both Jane and Gill die and Clem is runs away with AJ on her own.
KENNY+AJ AND CLEM
They make it on their own and decide to go back to Macon. Their days are peaceful, they manage to evade walkers or any other groups of survivors and even get a working car. Kenny taught Clem how to fish and they essentially function as a family. One week, Kenny's eye starts getting really bad and Clem is forced to scavenge some nearby town for any possible medical supplies. She manages to do so, but has a run-in with a man called Nate and a small band of bandits who travel with him. Clem manages to outrun them and lose them, making her way to the place she, AJ and Kenny are hiding. She informs Kenny about the threat and they both agree it's better to stay out of sight and travel somewhere else.
That night, Clem is forced to conduct a sort-of operation on Kenny to remove the dead tissues from his eye which are causing the infection. (A gross descritpion of the operation and Kenny barely making it out alive was supposed to be there). Kenny is left unconscious and Clem stays up all night, uncertain, just in case it turns out Kenny died and turned. In the morning, she is relieved to see he's alive and, while he has pains from the operation, he's actually feeling better and thanks Clementine. They leave their hiding spot and drive until they run out of fuel. Deciding it'll be safer to abandon the main road, they travel through the woods.
Episode 2 "Lost and Found"
FROM THIS MOMENT FORWARD, THE DESCRIPTIONS ARE REALLY BASIC BECAUSE MOST OF THE STORYLINES WERE YET TO BE DEVELOPED FURTHER
Following from "Jane and the family", "Jane without family+Danny St John spared" and "Alone" - Clem is alone with AJ:
Clem manages to reach Atlanta stumbles upon a community like no other - it's a survivor's colony that consists solely of kids of various ages. Their leader is the oldest girl in the group, a 16-year-old Catherine. Clem learns that people in the group are strays who once belonged to various groups ran by adults, but eventually they all fell apart. Deciding that adults are the ones who create conflicts, Catherine - a skill survivor by that point - made it on her own, but often stumbled upon young people and kids who were left behind and would die if it weren't for her. They made their HQ in an old, six-store tenement building and stayed there ever since. Every new member to the grop was personally taught by Catherine some basic combat and survival skills, so the group right now is actually very skilled. She is the one who leads them and, while she often listens to the opinion of others, she's the one who decides and no one has a problem with that, since her decisions never caused any harm to the group.
Episode is dedicated to Clem meeting people in the group and see how it's run.
Following from "Jane without family+Danny St John spared" and "Kenny+AJ and Clem"
Same thing as above, except Clem makes it to Atlanta and meets the kid group with Jane and Kenny. It's virtually the same except kids refuse to allow Jane/Kenny inside, and:
a/ Jane supports this decision since she sees where these kids are coming from, but Clem refuses to let her go
b/ Kenny is enraged that kids run this community by themselves without a supervision of an adult, while Clem tries to calm him down.
In the end, Jane/Kenny are allowed inside, but Catherine orders them to be locked away. Jane agrees, hoping that it'll show the kids she can be trusted, while Kenny is furious. Because of the above, kids are not entirely trustful of Clem
Episode 3 "Why We Fight"
Following both variations of Episode 2, except Jane/Kenny would be episodic characters
During one of the raids to scavenge for supplies, Clem and the other kids (as well as Catherine) see - from a hiding spot - an alone woman who's also looking for supplies.Clem immediately recognizes her as Lilly. Catherine, despite the "no-adults" rule, asks Clem about her. Kids see that Lilly is taking the supplies they need and wonder whether they should stop her or not. Then:
a/ LEE SAVED CARLEY IN DRUGSTORE - Clem says that Lilly killed a woman in her original group in cold blood and she cannot be trusted by any means; upon Catherine's order, the group ambushes Lilly and tells her to leave any supplies she took and leave the place. Upon seeing Clem, Lilly angrily calls out to someone...
b/ LEE SAVED DOUG IN DRUGSTORE - Clem says that Lilly killed a man in her original group, but it happened by accident and Lilly was grieveing about her lost father; she's uncertain whether she can be trusted or not, but she's a broken person. Kids ambush Lilly, but Catherine has a dillema and eventually orders everyone to stand down and let Lilly go away. Lilly says she's grateful, but upon seeing Clem she betrays the kids and calls out to someone...
Both scenarios result in the fact that Lilly turns out to be a part of a group of scavengers whose leader is Nate (in Alone/Kenny paths, Clem knows who Nate is and knows the situation is bad, advising Catherine to run and prepare a defense; in Jane scenarios, Clem doesn't know who Nate is and there would be a scene with Nate being a discount Negan to introduce him to the story
)
The kids manage to escape them and hurt some bandits in the process. They end up in their HQ and prepare eventual defenses. (determinant Jane/Kenny: because of the dire situation of the group, Jane and Kenny would be let go and allow to fight in the eventuall defense against Nate) Catherine has an idea how to deal with Nate and his group and shows up her last means of defense she's been hiding from everyone. Turns out her father was working for the construction company and she knows a lot of things about it and, when she was alone, she managed to scavenge - not much, but still enough - explosive materials.
Episode 4 "No More Tears"
Following all variations of Episode 3
Essentially a skirmish (with a bit of walkers thrown in) after Nate and bandits locate the building where kids had their HQ. There are a few situation where there are shootouts and some people are hurt/killed (don't know who, because there were supposed to be some supportive characters introudced in Ep2 with their own storylines, but I was yet to develop these), but not everyone and most would survive (yeah, Kenny, Jane and AJ included). Kids would draw the bandits into the building and to the highest floor where they would reside. During one of the shootouts, Catherine would be seriously injured and would stay on the top floor. Nate and everyone else would go there and find only Catherine. Turns out everyone else used a zipline to escape the building to the one nearby (Catherine was supposed to go with them, but she was bleeding out). Then Nate would realize this is some sort of trap, but wouldn't manage to do anything about it because Catherine would detonate the explosives that the kids planted at the ground level of the construction. The tenement building collapses, killing most of the bandits and walkers. Before departing, Clem, Jane/Kenny, AJ and others would stumble upon a seriously injured Lilly. She would definitely turn soon. And:
a/ CLEM LEFT LEE - Clem would be compassionate that no one deserves to suffer and admit she made a mistake by leaving Lee, so she would finish Lilly off to spare her the pain.
b/ CLEM KILLED LEE - Clem would not be compassionate and would say that Lilly betrayed the group in the past and now brought the danger upon others again, so she doesn't deserve anything; she would leave her behind to turn.
Episode 5 "The Walking Dead"
Depending on the choices from the quiz, there were two outcomes from the Alone/Kenny/Jane storylines, since each answer was assigned a score:
Lee saved Doug: 1 point
Lee saved Carley: 2 points
Lee spared Danny: 1 point
Lee killed Danny: 2 points
Lee turns: 1 point
Lee is killed: 2 points
Clem is with Kenny: 1 point
Clem is with Jane&Family: 1 point
Clem is with Jane&No Family: 2 points
Clem is alone: 2 points
CLEMENTINE THE SURVIVOR (7 or less points)
Clementine starts the group with kids who survived and AJ (+determinantly Jane/Kenny), trying to build something new, giving everyone a new hope and being a compassionate person. Jane/Kenny would compliment Clem that, despite the world gone mad, she didn't sacrifice her humanity. Also, it is revealed that the group was joined by Gill (in Jane scenario) who wandered on his own, barely alive. Clem accepted him. The future looks bright...
...but one day, two people arrive at the kids' place. They say that they are representatives of a group that calls themselves The New Frontier and that they seek help and want to make peace for the benefit of both groups. Clem is uncertain and asks the group for opinion and everyone agrees they shouldn't shut anyone out. Clem lets them in... THE END.
CLEMENTINE THE LEADER (above 7 points)
Clementine starts the group with kids who survived and AJ (+determinantly Jane/Kenny), trying to build something new, but is a leader in the same vein as Catherine was - strong-willed and making every decision on her own. The group thrives, even though Clem doesn't let it expand and doesn't accept new members. Gills is found, but Clem turns him away (in Jane scenario). One time, a group two people arrive at the kids' place. They say that they are representatives of a group that calls themselves The New Frontier and that they seek help and want to make peace for the benefit of both groups. Clem accepts them without asking anyone for opinion, but warns the representatives of TNF that they are not trusted and eventual betrayal will cost them a lot.
At night, TNF try to find out how armed and supplied Clem's group is, but are caught. Clem says that she did warn them.
A week later, two more new representatives of TNF appear and Clem lets them in. Before they can say anything, Clem shows them two bodies hanging on the trees, full of bullet holes. She tells the shocked TNF people that the killed guys were interrogated and she knows about their plan to attack them upon finding out how armed Clem's people are. She tells them to never come back here again if they don't want to suffer the same fate.
TNF representatives leave, (determinantly: Jane/Kenny are dissappointed in Clem and try to talk some sense into her, but she says that she's had enough of betrayals and problems. Seeing she's not the girl she was before, Kenny/Jane leave), while the story ends with a quote from Carver: "We're not so different, you and I"... THE END.
SYNOPSIS FOR "STAY IN WELLINGTON" FOR EPISODES 1-4 (VERY GENERAL OVERVIEW - MOST CHOICES FROM THE QUIZ WERE NOT WORKED IN WHEN THE STORY WAS PLANNED):
Clem would stay there, a new cast of characters would be present and:
- Clem would finally experience some of the childhood she lost
- AJ would be taken proper care of by the adults
- it would turn out that, in Wellington, there is a designated unit woring on repairing an old ship; there is an inside "task force" that agreed to use the ship, once repaired, to travel abroad, hoping to find help. It's been years since repairs took place and lots of fuel was scavenged all over America to at least make it across the ocean);
- Clem would later focus on finding Christa in the places near Wellington, hoping she'll find her
- included: there are horses in Wellington, so Clem would learn how to ride one
- during one of the Christa missions, Clem would have a run-in with Nate (but in this story, Nate would be alone)
- he'd try to talk to her and convince people of Wellington to let him in, because they turned him away once
- she'd do that, but they'd explain that he can't be trusted since he's a murderer that's killed some of them
- Clem would abandon the plan to find Nate upon hearing that and resumed her search for Christa
- due to some shenanigans it would turn out that Christa stumbled upon Nate and, after Clem refused him shelter, would treathen Christa;
- Clem kills Nate and has a teary reunion with Christa.
EPISODE 5:
- Christa arrives in Wellington and is accepted;
- She takes care of AJ and treats him as the kid she once lost;
- there would be a brief flashback to the '16-month gap' in S2 premiere to see what happened to Christa's baby (died during childbirth)
- Christa has a new sense of purpose and makes a promise to Clem to raise AJ properly
- depending on whether Clem killed/left Lee, she would join the task force to travel across the ocean
IF CLEM KILLED LEE:
- she'd stay in Wellington and help Christa raise AJ, the story ends on a hopeful note that maybe, in time, the world will heal its wounds and, since Wellington is a stable community, everything will be well - THE END
IF CLEM LEFT LEE:
- the ship is repaired, Clem has a teary-eyed goodbye with everyone and the ship departs. Everyone feels that there is some sense of hope that maybe, just maybe, it'll be safer across the ocean - or at least they'll find some help. Days later, on the open ocean, everyone is on the deck and looking at the sun - Clem thinks it feels normal, as if the outbreak didn't happen. Suddenly, they hear a buzzing noise. Everyone is wondering what's going on, when they hear some weird noises on the ship radio, as if someone was speaking in a different language. Suddenly, to everyone's shock, jets appear on the sky and launch missles at the ship. Several people are killed, other jump out of the ship. The ship is destroyed and Clem manages to find a piece of it floating on water. She's one of the few surivors on the ocean, not knowing what's happening.
The story ends with a noise from the radio that remained afloat, with someone speaking in French, "Threat neutralized". THE END.
So... this is how the story was supposed to go down. I know it's all very rough and most stuff is not worked in (you know how much I love dialogue, so of course there would be a whole lot of moments with Clem bonding with others/making alliances or enemies etc.), but this is how I planned it.
The only thing I can hope for is that it's not worse than A New Frontier, but I can't be a judge of that. You decide
