The game is sold out on Amazon UK, which I haven't seen happen in a long ass time, so it looks like it's doing stupidly well. On another note I'll probably pick it up next week, when I have some expendable cash. Amazon turned out to be a bad idea - they're really underestimating the dispatch times and shit from what I can tell on Reddit (and from personal experience). It's probably better to get it from a store cause you'd end up waiting forever to get one from Amazon.

Yeah I've had really awful experiences getting games off Amazon, I got my UC4 a day late and my Red Dead Redemption a fucking week late, I was just comparing the prices of various sites, besides I'm not in too much of a rush to get it.

Being almost at the finish of Warped (skipped 2 and played a bit of 1), I have to say that the game is awesome. That being said, there are still some things that feel off to me. My major complaint is that the developers fucked up something with collision detection in the Great Wall & tomb levels - namely, flying dragons and enemies with flamethrowers. I'm pretty sure I always managed to jump over every dragon, yet the game at times decided that I hit them and restarted the level from checkpoint. At first I thought that maybe I'm not as good as I used to be at the game, but after literally the 10th time that happened, I got mad. I actually dowloaded the PS1 version with an emulator on my PC to check the difference. And know what? While I had many problems on the console to pass 'Orient Express', on PC I made it though on my first try. It's just weird. As for the tombs, on console I used to crawl under the flamethrower and then kill an enemy - it's not possible to do so on PS4, Crash is killed the moment I try to crawl. The only other complaints I have is how VV fucked up shadows in the game - I mean, not the overall look of them, but how Crash casts a shadow. On PS1, there was always the black dot below him, so, say, in Arabian levels it was better to notice whether Crash will land on a carpet/platform when jumping across a chasm. Right now, with a 'realistic rendering', the shadow is often not visible and it's harder to asses where Crash will land. And one final thing - I literally HATE how the N. Gin boss battle in Warped is dumbed down for the modern audience. N.Gin does not shoot rockets as often as on PS1 and his second form is almost still to make aiming easier. On PS1, he was literally swinging across the screen and aiming at him was harder. Nonetheless, a very good remake. 9.5/10

Right now, with a 'realistic rendering', the shadow is often not visible and it's harder to asses where Crash will land. That's weird, in the Crash 1 level "Road to Nowhere", the shadow was just a black dot like it used to be, so I could use it to work out where I was landing on the harder jumps. Sucks to hear they watered down N.Gin, though. Always felt like a triumph when I beat him because he was pretty tough and there was a lot of multitasking involved in the boss fight. I think they also dumbed down Dingodile, too, from what I've seen? He seems to open himself up for attacks way too quickly. Weirdly, I had more trouble with the Ripper Roo and Koala Kong Crash 1 fights in the remake than the original.

I think they also dumbed down Dingodile, too, from what I've seen? He seems to open himself up for attacks way too quickly. I know, right? Back in the PS1 Warped, beating N.Gin was actually an achievement, given his second robotic form was swaying from side to side all around the screen and navigating between rockets while simultaneously trying to aim at his weak spots that were in constant movement was annoying, but damn satisfying. And here? I've beaten him on the first try, because he barely moves at all. It's disappointing. As for the Dingodile - I actually have a feeling that it was made slightly harder. I don't know how it was designed, but the first phase of the battle (when he shoots rockets into the sky and seconds later they land on the ground) is basically the same as in PS1. The second phase when he shoots at Crash is slightly modified (although that can also be just my feeling, I don't know) - on PS1, he never aimed at Crash, but slightly off to any of his sides (so that the player who didn't pay attention would run straight into the ray of fire). It's preserved here, but... on PS1, the moment Dingodile took an aim, there was a noticeable split of a second that he's about to shoot. On PS4, the moment he takes an aim, he fires immediately - so you have to pay attention to him at all times, because the reation time is reduced. And it would be good if it was just that, but (again, just my feeling) each of his shots destroys more ice crystals than in the original, so it's easier to run to him and attack.

Lol, you know what I've just found out? In the PS1 Crash 3, after obtaining double jump and double spin, in N. Tropy boss battle it was possible to cross the chasm before tiles created a path. Doing that, however, resulted in insta-kill from N. Tropy. I guess Naughty Dog wanted to prevent players from doing that and ending the battle too soon. And in N. Sane Trilogy? (it's me playing, because I didn't find anyone doing that on YT): Turns out VV didn't think about that, while ND did. (P.S. Dingodile boss battle is also as buggy as in the original game )

So much nostalgia. I've really been enjoying the remastered trilogy. My older sister is wanting to play it as well. (whenever she gets the time to anyway.) One thing about it that I'm pretty sure she doesn't know about is that Coco is an optional playable character. From what I remember, Coco was my sister's favorite back when we were kids, so I don't plan on telling her that little feature cause I want it to be a little surprise for her. I really do like how the graphics make the cutscenes, levels and characters look a lot cooler. Though, the bats on the 1st game seem a bit bigger than how I remember. Some of the death animations are kinda funny. Like in the 3rd game, when getting sliced in half by that sword guy and Crash just stands there while his top half falls off with cartoon sound effects. And then there's also when you miss so many crates in any level from the 1st game, that Crash/Coco just get pummeled to oblivion by dropping crates and it makes you feel bad. I also like it how Crash and Coco do some of their idle animations simultaneously in the Time Twister, especially the victory dance. Right now, I'm trying to find and get all of the gems and relics since I already got all the crystals and beat the bosses. All in all, this game was really worth the wait.

There are Uncharted 4 easter eggs to be found in the trilogy. Like in the 2nd game's intro, Coco is playing Uncharted 4 on her laptop before her battery dies. (Ironically enough, if you look closely, it shows the scene from after Nate plays the original Crash Bandicoot game.) And in the 3rd game's intro, inside the Bandicoot family home, there is a picture frame of Nate. There is also Fake Crash to be found.

So I was thinking I'd 100% Crash 1 before moving onto 2, but I've never 100%'d that one before and it's pretty frustrating. Should I keep trying, or move on to Crash 2 and come back to 100% all the games once I've finished the main quests?

Those fucking motorbike levels though. I've always hated them and they're no better here.

Road Crash took me like a billion tries and then I completed Orange Asphalt on the first go (I was literally neck and neck with one of the racers as I crossed the finish line though). I'm glad there aren't any more of these levels left unless I want to go for a hundred percent.
