Native Spanish speaker(Venezuelan) here, their Spanish sounds perfect to me and to the accents that I'm used to. The weirdness people are experiencing is that Spanish is not really a formal language, but they're speaking it in a kind of formal way because they seem to be the kind of family that really respects their elders.

fun fact: the one girl in the trailer calls the grandma Ya-Ya. My cousins call their grandma Ya-Ya as well. So I guess ya-ya must be the same for Spanish and Greek. (pretty sure I'm spelling it wrong )

Why is that a "Fuck" fact? On second thought, I don't wanna know. this is one of those times where I just really wish people could probably express laughter over the internet. Never seems to work for me. lol, lmao, or just a simple haha never capture it. So to put it this way, once you pointed that out, I kept trying to type a reply, but each time I looked up at my screen and saw your post and my typo, I just went into another fit of laughter. Actual answer: I fucking guess I'm just so fucking used to typing fuck that it's becoming second-fucking-nature.

Javier's family tree (from what I can tell & provided everyone is related) Anyone wanna bet real money that episode 1 will be 90 minutes long and episode 2 will be 60 minutes long??? I'm willing to bet the two kids die for cheap emotional impact.

Also Episode 1 is "Ties that Bind" but Episode 2 is "Divided We Fall", guessing Ep1 is about Javier and his family, and Episode 2 is about Clem and how the season 2 endings fell apart.

Check their Twitter, Episode 1 is "Ties That Bind Part One" and 2 is "Ties That Bind Part Two". Basically the season is 4 episodes long lmao

I thought David, Javier, and all the mystery kids were siblings, Hector was their Dad, and then the grandma and Rafa were Javier's grandparents.

Could be they did something similar to the Russian voice actors in Amid the Ruins. i.e english speaking actors speaking a foreign language. If I recall, some native speakers were talking about how awful it was in that episode. I hope that's not the case though. I mean, I'm no language expert, but the spanish just sounds cringy. I feel like I speak better spanish. Yeah, I have watched enough Narcos and spent enough time with my dads side of the family to know that sounds a bit off.

Yep, someone has since corrected me on tumblr regarding how Javier referred to his grandparents. Also I believe that the grandparents are on Javier's mother's side as Hector calls Rafa by his first name. So it'd be more like this: God knows where David and mystery woman fit in, but I feel like David is an uncle of Javier's who's like 10-15 years younger than Hector.
