observations as I watched a lp. -not surprised they have the boat crew.
-randall somehow zombified after he got smashed in the head, wow.
-when the player character uses the same plan a villain from the same series did, this is one of those times. are we playing as the antagonist or is norma the villain- I forgot.
-sam is FINALLY speaking sense,
-oh shit sam is actually showing signs of not being a selfish brat- but that's just cause she has a dead dad so her behaviour can be pinned on denial and the shock of what happened to her dad.
-oop, planning to fight back and end what you started when it's all your fault- with the shit you stole. I stand corrected.or not, we now have 2 actual characters on the scene
-james is now carl.
-"it didn't always come to this" WHAT YES IT DID MICHONNE IT ALWAYS DID.
-I literally only feel sorry for the pillow fort kid because he's like five.
-I have to say, despite me generally not liking how the characters in this are, I'm actually pleasantly surprised by michonne's interactions with the kids. norma better prove herself not a total asshole and not shoot the pillow fort kid.
-holy crap is this a honest to goodness hub!? took ya long enough!
-sam's gonna die mid-sentence while michonne wanders off isn't she? she or one of the kids.
-norma, it's your chance not to be the villain caricature, the plot wants you to be! good job norma!
-reasonable anger! actual consequence! yes! Gabby you're a plot device but I love you! Norma's trying to resolve the situation and sam's true colours (shit jumping) are in sight!they're playing what I've been strawmanning straight! yes!
-trippiest hallucination, and slightly cliché ghost confrontation.
-wow michonne's daughters have... um... not the best voice actors.
-fuck that was actually emotional.
-this resolution certainly isn't. there's a chance of sam showing up in the comics now and that's not what I want.
-I actually somewhat liked that episode. but not for the reasons telltale probably wanted me to.
even though I can celebrate sam finally having a legitimate reason to complain that isn't her fault (and then in the long run it actually is) and my thoughts on norma as a villain are that she's not a villain- thus making her a bit more interesting, the fact that I actually was this overjoyed to feel a hint of sympathy towards the player character and to actually find something that isn't the deuteragonist's fault are not things that should be praised for a ten out of ten. and most of my sympathy for the characters round up as 'they have dead parents'
basically- I enjoyed the last episode, but that might've just been because the bar had been so lowered by the previous instalments and the cut out characters. and when I see a alternate playthrough I will likely be disappointed by how nothing changed.

That's got to be the same playthrough I watched or with the exact same choices... Also spoiler on other choices Sam is actually determinant. She can die if you decide to not let go of your daughters.

After playing... the official title of the worst TTG series belongs to Michonne. Seriously. (I'll post my review tomorrrow)

Worse than the Jurassic Park TTG game? Not sure... Worse than MCSM? Yknow what? Maybe it is... I kind of agree with what SOS said about it storymode being entirely inoffensive. It's a gosh darn childrens' game.

So anyway, great way to end this series! Got some good flashbacks to Sarah when I talked to James and Alex. Thank god they didn't end up like her and dying regardless of the choices. The whole "Tricking Norma into thinking ZombieRandall is the real Randall" is exactly how I predicted when the screenshots came out, and it was nice to finally see a happy ending in a Walking Dead game for once. Here's to hoping we end up seeing Sam and Co. in the comics one day. Mah Choices:

Lol. To be honest I'm not surprised it sucked or anything... but it honestly wasn't the worst episode, probably the best one, but it's not like that's even saying much. I'll give this episode a rating of 5/10 Randall's death was fucking stupid. Fuck Sam. So Michonne can't die? How does that work exactly? You stay with your daughters to kill yourself, and what? Sam dies? That'd be cool if Telltale did a non-canon ending where Michonne can die. Didn't help Sam bury her father: Lol, idgaf Told Alex his father was dead: You know this episode was short as hell when THIS is a major choice. What? Even if you don't tell him, he'll find out TEN MINUTES LATER WHEN SAM'S HAVING A FUNERAL FOR HIM. Did not hand Randall over to Norma: Please, not like it matters. Randall's death was stupid as fuck. Fuck that shit. Left Norma to get eaten alive: Felt good, man, even though she probably isn't 'actually' the bad guy. Left my daughters: Eh, I dunno. I should've done the other choice. That way stupid big tits would die. But oh yeah, worst TTG ever. Seriously, can it get lower then this? GOT S2 better not be 1 hour long episodes now. They need to remain 2 hours like Season 1's was. But they'll probably limit it down to 30 minutes. Right?

My Grandfather smoked his whole life. I was about 10 years old when my mother said to him, 'If you ever want to see your grandchildren graduate, you have to stop immediately.'. Tears welled up in his eyes when he realized what exactly was at stake. He gave it up immediately. Three years later he died of lung cancer. It was really sad and destroyed me. My mother said to me- 'Don't ever smoke. Please don't put your family through what your Grandfather put us through." I agreed. At 28, I have never touched a cigarette. I must say, I feel a very slight sense of regret for never having done it, because this game gave me cancer anyway. meh Only Pete, the two boys, Paige and Sad Dick survived. Big Tits died while Michonne was high on fumes. riperino

I've never really had the lack of consequence for my choices, a very fucking blatant lack of consequences, bother me so much in any other Telltale series.... Any episode, even.
Also: The whole fucking hallucination storyline. From Episode 1 it was garbage, and they decided to double down on that.
That being said, this was the best episode of the series..... Which makes it the third worst episode Telltale has ever made.
Can't speak to Jurassic Park, but hell, I find MC:SM entertaining. Is it well written? No. Is it particularly deep/complex/emotional? No. Is the art-direction/character design good? Eh. Directing? Not fantastic. Voice-acting? Um.... yes, actually, that's quiet good at times. Bottom line, is it entertaining? For the most part, yeah. So at the end of this: Do I feel like I wasted my money? No.
Now, let's apply this to Michonne:
Is it well-written? No. Do choices mean anything? No. Is the voice-acting good? No(a first for Telltale). Art direction/Character Design? Well, yes, actually, damn good. Directing? Yeah, it's got some good shots. Characters? Pffft, no. Is it entertaining? No. Somehow these three hour long episodes dragged on longer than an entire season of any other Telltale series. At the end of this: Do I feel like I wasted my money? Yes.
I honestly just hope this was bad because it was tainted by the current comic storyline, and because Telltale was focused on Batman. I really hope this isn't an omen for what's to come in the future, of Walking Dead, or of Telltale in general.
