Wish I could see my character's face better, but still... I like his background. He's always staring at the floor because he's permanently pissed off. That was the best I could get.

Made some more. @darkfoxtm : Nobody knows exactly where Dark Fox comes from. Nobody in XCOM is even entirely sure what's up with him, but everyone has come to the consensus that they don't care. Hr speaks three different languages (Most of which everyone believes to be made up) and claims to be from every country in the world, but one thing everyone can say about him is this: He hates the aliens, and it sure as hell seems personal. There are no records of him oin any of ADVENT's records, and XCOM's contacts have never heard of him either. On paper he doesn't seem to exist. One day he drove into XCOM's headquarters with a truck brimming with stolen weapons but wouldn't tell anyone why he was bringing them. Dark Fox is considered to be XCOM's deepest mystery by those who know him, and the only thing anyone can say for sure is that he utterly despises the aliens. When he gets one in his sights the rest of the squad knows to get out of the way. thatstoomuchfestivity: As the leader of one of the many Resistance Havens, People trying to live free of ADVENT rule deep in the wilderness, most people considered Nate to be crazy. His problem wasn't hearing voices, violent rampages, or even bird watching. It was his optimism. Nothing, it seemed, could bring him down. He kept spirits high in his enclave through the worst of circumstances and the longest of odds and not once has anyone seen him give in to the depression that so many others have come to suffer in the years after the war. He believes that the current crisis is just a rough spot that humanity will eventually be able to smooth out in the long. Nobody was surprised when XCOM contacted Nate and he offered to give them their full support, though a few were blindsided when he let the organization use their Haven as their headquarters. Nobody could have predicted what he was about to do next, though: He joined the band of rebels himself and enlisted as a frontline soldier. Nate sees XCOM as the hope that humanity has been waiting for all these dark years and will see their mission through to the end or die trying. He brings his good spirits and bad jokes with him in an effort to keep the soldiers' spirits high, and whenever he's around the situation will always feel just a little lighter. And finally, sos: Everyone has something to live for. Something that keeps them going even against the longest of odds. SOS is no different, and he isn't unique in that his reason to keep seeing another tomorrow is a woman. Their life was good together. They seemed an odd match to everybody who didn't know them, and even most who did, but the thoughts of others weren't something they were concerned with. All they needed was each other and they could conquer whatever the world threw at them. Even the war couldn't stop them from being happy. As the aliens burned Earth to ash, cities fell, and millions died in the hopeless struggle the two of them remained together and fought back all who tried to separate them, alien or otherwise. Earth fell to the invaders, XCOM and all vestiges of resistance were destroyed, and the newly formed ADVENT government began cracking down on the survivors in hopes of finally cowing the human race into obedience. Despite the new dark age humanity was suffering the future still seemed as bright as ever for SOS and his love. But happiness was a foreign concept to the cold and ruthless new Earth, and such an affront could only go for so long before being snuffed out. One night ADVENT forces stormed their apartment. SOS didn't know why. He and his love tried to fight back but their failure was inevitable. SOS took a hit and fell to the ground, the light fading. His last sight of the world before the darkness swallowed him was an ADVENT trooper preparing to finish him off. His last thoughts were of her. Nobody was more surprised than him when he awoke minutes later, unscathed and alone. Sirens wailed in the distance and ADVENT reinforcements swarmed the rest of the building. All he could find were the corpses of the soldiers who had come to take the two of them away. Mary was gone. Now a fugitive on the run from ADVENT, SOS turned to the only people with the resources to help him find his other half: XCOM. He gets on well enough with everyone else in the group but he isn't there for their revolution. All he wants is to find her again and resume the blissful life that was stolen from them. Maybe take her somewhere tropical to live out the rest of their days on the beach... But that's for tomorrow. Today he has to find her. And nothing on Earth or any other planet will stop him from seeing her again.

Yeah, that's where I peaked. I did DF and Nate after that and, well, they're not bad, I'm not saying that, but it's clear which of the three I put the most effort into.

Do you think you'll be able to write bios for characters in the console versions? If not, I may just try to see if my PC can run it.

I wish I knew, but alas. I barely know enough about the PC version to keep from getting stomped by the aliens (This time).

Zoey (Yes, from Left 4 Dead) is gone She got left behind on a horrible fucking mission. One of the squad got knocked unconscious right at the start and had to be carried to the evac on the opposite end of the map. When the squad finally got close they were ambushed from two different sides, and miraculously managed to hold them off... but in the middle of the fight Bill (Yes, also from Left 4 Dead) got stabbed and knocked out so HE had to be carried, too, by TC. Everyone was running to the evac ship and was exposed and heavily wounded except for Zoey, who stayed behind to cover the squad and the VIP we were rescuing. She made a fucking phenomenal shot (Only 38% chance, but she still pulled it off) and killed the Sectoid that was about to lay into either the VIP or one of the injured squadmates. It was 1 turn until the end of the mission. She had enough movement to get just outside the evac zone when the turn ended. Everyone else made it, but she was left because she was two feet outside the zone. Fucking hell Bradford, throw down a rope. But no. Now she's been captured. Her name strangely isn't on the memorial though, so maybe I'll be seeing her again. I dunno. All I know is that everyone else in the squad was shot to shit so badly that they're all stuck in the infirmary for 3 weeks and I have an important mission coming up. My only soldiers are a bunch of Rookies led by a Corporal.

I gotta say, I like your bios, Rock. You've got a real good mix of characters. Me and TC as the closest of bros, DFH as the man so happy he's practically doomed to die, the mystery of DF, SOS' hunt for the puss... They just have a nice mix, you know?

Plot twist: Zoey comes back as a badass cyborg chick after being experimented on. And yeah I wouldn't mind seeing yourself in the game.

Rock114 (Yes, I tagged myself because why mess with the formula?): Funny story with this in that I didn't actually design my own character. My pal Wolf did with a brief description I gave him at the time, and this is what he exported to me when he gifted me the game. The eyepatch was also his idea, not mine. Now onto the bio: Rock is an oddity among the new XCOM due to the fact that he is one of the few in the new organization to have served the original XCOM during the war. Recruited early on during the struggle he performed as well as any other soldier, and even as the invaders made startling and devastating progress he was determined to fight to the end, even if it meant giving his life to keep Earth free from the invaders. As the months dragged by and the war slogged on, slowly but surely turning in favor of their foes, he was one of many to realize that defeat was steadily becoming a matter of "When" and not "If." It all came crashing down when they launched a massive assault on the base. Rock and the other defenders did their best to put up a fight but the enemy was too numerous and well equipped. XCOM was smashed, the command staff dead or missing, and Rock himself left behind with heavy injuries. He was rescued by a small group of survivors, who dragged him out of the burning base and to a nearby city for recovery. He was recuperating with a large number of other wounded when the news hit: Earth had surrendered. Rock was stunned. He hadn't expected Earth to give in so soon. With his injuries mostly healed he and a small group of other former operatives fled the hospital before Earth's new benefactors could arrive and fled to the wilderness. For nearly two decades he and a small band of refugees and outcasts have waged a costly, ineffective, and ultimately pointless geurilla war against ADVENT. When the newly reformed XCOM got in touch with the old veteran he was reluctant to rejoin them, remembering how they originally failed, but with nothing else to do he agreed to join. He continues his fight because it's all he knows how to do. Despite giving the new XCOM his all, he believes that it will suffer the same fate the first one did. Even if the ragtag band of freedom fighters can accomplish his goal, which he doubts, he has long ago given up hope of living to see a free Earth.

More news from the front. XCOM resistance fighters have destroyed several Blacksite facilities directly related to the Avatar Project, setting ADVENT's progress back significantly. Operatives have performed outstandingly in the field, with special commendation going to SOS who, on his first mission, killed five enemy combatants during a raid on a supply convoy. XCOM technicians have finished development of WARDEN armor to give troops in the field vastly superior longevity, and advance rivaled only by the project's successful creation of plasma weapons which are now being deployed with troops in the field. In addition, two new recruits have arrived at XCOM HQ: Bioshock Infinite WD : There is one factor in war that decides the conflict before it begins. A trait which even the best marksman and toughest soldiers are nothing without: Discipline. A belief Bio firmly holds and attempts to instill in XCOM's other troopers, often against their wishes. Seen by the others as a demanding and relentless drill instructor Bio has attempted time and time again to whip the disorganized band of rebel "soldiers" into what he considers a true military force. His constant drills and his willingness to dole out punishments for slight infractions has put him at odds with nearly the entire crew of the Avenger, and one soldier in particular. When Harp and Bio walk into the same room the rest of the troopers know that a small warzone is about to erupt. Bio's nearly fanatical obsession with discipline and good conduct runs directly against Harp's more laid back and uncaring approach toward military affairs which has caused the two to come to blows more than once. At the insistence of Central Officer Bradford the two now do their level best to avoid each other whenever possible. Despite this setback Bio refuses to abandon his mission of preparing the troops for what he sees as a hard fight ahead of them. Despite the contempt which several of the men have for him Bio truly believes that his harsh training and drilling is for the best, and does this to ensure that when the others face the chaos of battle they will be ready for whatever the enemy throws at them. thatstoo2019man: Military service is a tradition in Crackman's family, a fact that didn't change in 2015 when alien invaders declared war on Earth. His family's history of service stretches back clear to the First World War and likely beyond, so when XCOM called his father to serve his father answered. His family begged him not to go, but before he walked out that door he made sure to tell his son one last time that their family always did their duty first. Crackman remembered the moment well. It was the last time he ever saw his father. After a little over a year of fighting Earth surrendered. Crack's father, along with numerous others, was officially declared Missing in Action after XCOM's destruction and presumed dead. Life was hard after that. Adjusting to living ina ruthless, alien world governed by the creatures who took his father from him ground away at Crack for what seemed an eternity before he made the decision to do what he was born to do: Serve. Crack was one of the first to enlist and help start to new XCOM resistance group and faithfully serves and fights the good fight as his family has for generations. He will do his duty and free Earth from its oppressors, but the one thing he wants more than that is simply to make his father proud, wherever he may be.
