I would make passionate love to Scott Porter's voice. And probably Scott Porter. You think he'd be fine with your tiny dick? Who says I'd be doing the fucking? Scotty P ain't no catcher. He's a pitcher who calls his own game. I just receive the ball.

Man, don't ruin your perfect image as the Italian Stallion. That would be sad. (what would Natalie say? She'd be very disappointed, I guess)

That would be sad. (what would Natalie say? She'd be very disappointed, I guess)Sometimes a Stallion is just a horse waiting to be tamed. (I spent five minutes looking for an image of Scott Porter in a cowboy hat to finish the joke off with some sort of a lone cowboy rider punchline. No dice. Had I found one, it would validate everything. Now it just feels like the gayest thing I've ever done. And Natalie is always welcome to join in.) Boy, this Batman game better hurry up. This thread is DESTROYED.

www.telltalegames.com/blog/104901/batman-telltale-unmasked-at-sxsw-with-greg-millerEach year, Telltale has been excited to join artists, musicians, filmmakers, technologists, and storytellers from around the world in Austin, TX for the annual South by Southwest festival. Featuring keynote conversations with guests ranging from the co-founders of YouTube, to the President of the United States, this unique convergence of art and technology has grown each and every year for 30 years. This year, video games are a bigger part of the show than ever before at the SXSW Gaming Expo, which is FREE and open to the public!
On March 18th, Telltale is heading out to Austin for the show where we'll be discussing the very first details of our upcoming series based on BATMAN for the first time! Be one of the first in the know on our next episodic series as Kinda Funny’s Greg Miller interviews our team to dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne, the duality of his own identity, and the struggle of responsibility in saving a city overcome with corruption and villainy.
BATMAN: Telltale Unmasked with Greg Miller Friday, March 18 4:30PM - 5:15PM Admission: FREE
Austin Convention Center 531 E 4th St Ballroom C
Official panel listing: schedule.sxsw.com/2016/events/event_PP92323
We’re excited to talk some more about the series and how development at Telltale can often work quite unlike most other game developers out there. In case you missed it, just this week Telltale CEO Kevin Bruner spoke with Kotaku discussing the future of the studio, hinting just a bit about what’s in store for our new series, simply saying, "It’s not like any other Batman game out there."
Not going to be in Austin for the show? We've got you covered. The whole panel will be streamed LIVE right from the heart of Texas. Catch it here: twitch.tv/sxswgaming
Remember, admission to the SXSW Gaming Expo portion of the festival is FREE and does not require a badge. So whether it's in person or online, do join us for what promises to be an exciting first insight into the series!

They've specifically name-dropped The Court of Owls and Greg Capullo so I'm super excited about that!
Also, it's cool that Telltale is working within their own canon with this.

Well, sucks that they won't be doing too much stuff with the Bat-Family. :/

They are hinting that Batman will use a heavily improved engine from past games with new gameplay elements, similar art style to Wolf. 5 Episodes, M rated.

....They literally didn't even say what the name of the series is yet. I mean, I guess it was still interesting to watch though, so... yeah.

Thought of another good reason for this to take place during New 52: We'd get Batgirl rather than Oracle. I know they're the same character, but Oracle is much more grim and determined, Batgirl is a fun character. Also, it'd be cool if Gordon had a role in this. Like, I know he'll probably show up, but maybe a larger role than in most Batman stuff. Wasn't there a tweet from someone talking about how all the Batman talk from the team working on it sounded like an episode of CSI? It'd be cool if we got a scene like in The Court of Owls, where Gordon and Bats work together to figure something out. As far as other characters, I don't know. I'm not really up to date on the rest of the Bat-Family. I'm reading Batgirl, and I basically know Nightwing's story(Dick Grayson was an acrobat for the circus, he was orphaned, became Bruce Wayne's ward, was Robin for a bit, is now Nightwing), but I have no idea who Red Robin is, only a vague idea of who the current Robin is, and not a clue as to who Red Hood is. (Didn't Red Hood have something to do with Joker? But there's a Red Hood that's part of the family? Very confused about that...) RED HOOD/ARKHAM KNIGHT SPOILERS BELOW So Red Hood is Jason Todd, AKA the second Robin after Dick Grayson became Nightwing. Jason eventually learned that the Joker had kidnapped his mom, so he went out to go rescue her despite Batman's orders. Jason ended up being captured by Joker and beaten to death with a crowbar. Afterward Talia Al Ghul finds Jason's bodies and brings him to the Ressurection Pond (I think that's its name) to revive him. After that, Jason becomes enraged by the fact that Batman didn't try to save him, so he becomes the Red Hood.
This is sorta the same thing in Arkham Knight, except instead, Batman and Jason were on a mission together, ended up getting separated, and Jason ended up being kidnapped by Joker. Joker then ends up torturing Jason for years until he's brainwashed him into thinking that Batman left him to die. After the Joekr dies in Arkham City, Jason then becomes the Arkham Knight and is determined to kill Batman. Okay, yeah, in New 52: Joker was the leader of the Red Hood Gang, who committed random acts of violence. In a final battle between Red Hood One and Batman, Red Hood One fell into a vat of acid, refusing to grab Batman's hand as he was falling. His body was not found, and it was later found out he became The Joker. Jason Todd was a member of the Red Hood Gang, but only so that he could survive on the streets of Gotham. After that, I still don't know his story, but maybe I'll find out in Batman: Eternal, or I may decide to pick up his series along with Nightwing/Grayson.

Other things about the panel:
"Is Barbara walkable?!" Along with being something Greg Miller said that I actually found amusing, this is also a question I'd very much like to be addressed, especially if Telltale does more than one season. I'd really, really like if they had Babs as Batgirl in their canon and not Oracle. Not that Barbara as Oracle isn't great, but I just love the dynamic in the current Batgirl of Burnside run where Babs is Batgirl, and her best friend Frankie is acting as the "new Oracle".
They joked that they'd get Scott Snyder as a story consultant but, seriously, his current run on Batman ends in April? American Vampire is wrapping up? This is probably the freest Scott Snyder has been to work on other projects in years, and my hype levels would be through the fucking roof if they actually got him as a story consultant. I mean, without him, Telltale's going to have a hard time telling a Bruce Wayne story that trumps Superheavy, or a Batman story that trumps Death of the Family.

Seeing Court of Owls name dropped here is really exciting for me. Hopefully we'll get a trailer at E3!
