So I was watching a different playthrough for the episode and came across something...
If you saved Felix in episode 1, you can call him on the fight against the Traveler, a scene comes up where you go to him and talk to him on a live communicator thing. He reveals he left 9 million dollars for you, and then explains how he got that money.
here's the part that doesn't make sense at all.
That part in Episode 1 where the Caravan crashes and Fiona falls back and hits the counter, knocking her out. Felix says that she was out for some time so he disarmed the bomb for the case, then put the 10 million dollars in a cabinet and puts in fake money in the case, then rearms the bomb.
Which doesn't make sense at all because in Episode 1 when the choice is about to be made to warn Felix about the bomb, he SHOULD ALREADY know about it. But he apparently doesn't. He kills himself and blows up the fake money? W-why? And if you warn him, he's like "OH SHIT IT IS? K BYE"
Can someone make sense of this to me or does this just not make sense at all?

It just doesn't make sense at all. I'm assuming it was something they pulled out of their asses to give the player an excuse to possess a ton of money that they can use to hire the Vault Hunters and Claptrap (It takes a lot of money, right? I didn't have to hire anyone, they all came along for free). But it's complete stupidity. Total horseshit. Makes no sense.

He doesn't die... He simply fakes his own death. I mean, that should just be obvious, right?

Because then he'd be "the pieces of the people we love" to Fiona.

You warn him, you know he's alive and somehow call him up. It's still a really elaborate and realistic fake death, which gives me second thoughts, but that's probably the best explanation.

Could be from the player's/Fiona's point of view. You think he's dead. Shitty explanation, but it's the best we got.

Shitty explanation, but it's the best we got. He's either shot and the case blows up or his face is literally blown off by the case. He's definitely dead if you killed him.

Who says he dies if you don't warn him about the bomb? It was his plan all along, to fake his death, and money exploding. He's "too dead", because Fiona has no idea that he lived. If you'd warn him and he didn't give a fuck and opened it, then it would be suspicious.

That's a hard death to fake then.

Yeah, Fiona simply doesn't know he's alive if he faked his death. I assume that was the plan all along, to fake his death and simply leave the money, but when Fiona warns him, he throws the case. He probably would have gotten into contact with Fiona regardless, though, sine he says the armoire being lost wasn't part of the plan. I assume she was meant to find the money and the ECHOcomm and still learn he was alive, but when she thinks he's dead, she doesn't bother trying to contact him...?
Anyway, I personally think it fits, and I didn't consider it a plot hole, so, whatever. I'm happy with that explanation, at least.

This doesn't matter 'cuz who in their right mind would pick Felix to help them with the Vault? Felix STINKS.
I mean thanks for the watch and revival and everything, but other than that, STINKS.
