The Tumblr fanbase for this game is starting to get more and more gay-centric... Isn't that like the "normal" thing to do on tumblr?

Gaying everything up on Tumblr is the equivalent of being a North Face jacket-wearing, leggings-donning, boots-tromping, Pumpkin Spice Latte-drinking basic betch in the real world.

Just finished it. HOLY SHIT That ending! I got the one where everyone made it out except Michael (How do you do that anyway?). I don't think I've been this mind-fucked since Bioshock Infinite. So anyway, 10/10 would play again.

So anyway, 10/10 would play again. You have to do pretty much the opposite of every other story of a person thinking about moving out of town; you have to tell him not to leave. That way, you don't have the going away party trip to the lake thing and he doesn't drown.
I like how the game twists the overplayed narrative. Basically saying if you move away from your family and go out into the world looking for purpose, you'll die. To me, that says chasing your lofty dreams = stupid = death and I fucking LOVE that.
Of course, that's just my interpretation. It very well could just be about preventing the event that led to his death.

Yeah, I looked up and saw the Michael ending, but to me at least, I feel that's kind of a cop out because I actually enjoyed the connection I grew between Jonas and Alex and just to have Jonas think of Alex as a simple friend in the end seems kinda wrong to me, so I'm glad with the ending I got.
Choices:
Didn't get Ren and Nona together (I don't get it, I didn't tell Nona about Ren during Truth or Slap and I chose to go with Jonas instead of Ren or Nona. What causes them to get together?)
Made up with Clarissa (Is it actually possible to get her killed? That would be interesting.)
Became best buds with Jonas (This I think is the happiest part of the ending; Jonas and Alex were really awkward with each other at the beginning, but they were finally able to acknowledge each other as siblings in the end, which makes me happy)
Said Alex went to college (not sure this has any input on the ending, but putting it here nonetheless.)

So, you guys think there's a way to play to break the time loop? I've read a couple different places that people are speculating on that. Something to do with a phone number and hidden messages and stuff like that. Nothing I'd be wise enough to crack, but food for thought.
The good thing about it is, if there is such a way to break it, you can play through again and do it and claim that it's your canon. Because time loops, which gives the opportunity for endless possibilities regardless of what you did the first time through. There's always a chance of chaos theory to alter shit. Viola, built-in excuse.

Finally finished it, and I really liked it. Choices(that it gave me at the end): -Prevented Ren and Nona from dating... Not at all sure how. -Made up with Clarissa -Bonded with Jonas -Went to College in the town(does this affect the final bit of the ending? Like, did it matter that I said that, or would it have reversed to the very beginning no matter what?) \ I guess I'll give more of my thoughts on it later.

Can someone please explain to me what this means? NVM. Apparently Skybound partnered up with Night School to help publicize Oxenfree, as well as create merch for it. Oh and @zyphon ? You're gonna want to read this. Skybound and Night School have commissioned Outcast comic artist Paul Azaceta to create a limited edition Oxenfree poster Where is this poster exactly?

So.... did everyone deal with the ghosts by finding all(or... most, I guess) the letters and then talking to them? Like, does Alex actually not making it off the island if you just close the gate? I guess I'm going to have to go and look up the endings. I do hope there's at least one truly happy ending, because I thought that by talking to the ghosts and convincing them to, uh... "find peace" I guess, that's why I got the "good" ending, i.e., everyone alive. Then the time loop thing happened and.... :/
Also, I do kind of just want to know what I did exactly that made Ren and Nona not get together. Not that I care too much, just curious. I'm fine that I basically destroyed Alex and Ren's friendship, didn't like him much. Less so maybe than Clarissa, even though I thought he was pretty funny in the beginning. Nona I actually did like(I went with her to Main Street to find the keys), so I guess I thought it was weird that even though for me, it seemed like Alex and nona were becoming friends(Nona invited Alex to her birthday party I guess?) she was almost completely ignored in the ending.

You have to encourage Nona to date him in 3 places: the beach, the bridge, and the Adler state. They'll date then.

If you find all the Adler Letters you get to utilize them in the final scene and talk the ghosts out of taking Calrissa instead of closing the portal because you bring up Calvin, who's a main character in the letters. Check these videos out.
