So, gameplay video was released. The only thing that comes to my mind is...
...what the actual fuck? It mus be Saint's Row: Back to 60s DLC. There is no way that's Mafia 3. Cars exploding after barely hitting them?
What was that fucking thing at 4:28-4:40?!

Never played the first two, were they any good? Mafia 1 grew very old in terms of graphics, but it's still a fantastic game, but mind you - the gameplay is very unforgiving. When it was released (around 2002, I think?) about 90% of the players couldn't pass one of the early missions ("Fairplay"), because it required a player to be the best driver possible. I remember that I passed it, but it didn't have anything to do with my skills - the game glitched and other drivers were simply stuck, I got lucky. The developers later patched the game to make the mission easier, but it was still hard to beat. Moreover, this is a game where you do have 100 HP, but - depending on which type of weapon your enemy is carrying and how far he is - you can be killed with one shot/hit/stab. Also, no quicksave. But believe me - this is the game with the best writing ever in a videogame. No Max Payne, The Walking Dead, GTA, Bioshock game could ever match that. And mind you - the screenplay was written by a man who was a graphic designer at the time (!!!). Don't want to spoil it for you in case you decide to play it, but believe me - the game is worth it, even if the gameplay is a bit rusty now. The sequel was a good game, but it serves as an example of what happens when the publisher interferes the developer. Lots of stuff was cut, but it was still a story-driven game. Don't mistake this for sandbox just because it has a city free to explore.

Uh, did they get the name of the game wrong? I thought Saints Row 5 was supposed to be announced.

I have heard about it, but I am more familiar with the second one. The only thing I know about 1, is that the main character gets killed by the main character in Mafia 2. Would Mafia 2 be a good starting point? You said its not as good, but that doesn't mean its bad right?

Eh, I'm still relatively excited for it, Also apparently the older guy in the trailer is Vito from Mafia 2, so that's nice.

It took some time to find out, but it seems that is true, which is good because from what I heard the second game has a bit of a cliffhanger ending, and not exploring that story at out would be not a good choice let's just say.

One of the devs confirmed it on an IGN video, so it is definitely true, it's nice to see he's back although I get the feeling that they'll brutally murder him for shock value.

Probably, I know the first protagonist was brutally killed by him at the end of Mafia 1, so that would not surprise me at all.
