just started binge-watching Stein's Gate, it's fucking amazing. I can't really say much about the plot without spoiling it, but it's about time travel, and quite heavily involves John Titor, a man who claimed to be a time traveller from the year 2036 in 2000.

I meant to watch Stein's Gate... I think I watched the first episode, but stopped becuase there was no dub.
Still the only anime to have ever interested me enough with the first episode to make me watch it without a dub is La Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian.

Deadman Wonderland seems pretty damn cool. Only problem is I can't find a decent quality version of the show past episode 2.

Bumping up a year old thread.
The final season of Danganronpa is almost finished airing, and it's getting insane with how many characters are being killed off. The creator had to take a vacation until it finishes its run because he was being harassed by fans.
For anybody wanting get into the series, play the first two games and watch this final season. It's probably of the craziest anime I've seen in years.

God I just got into Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and I gotta say it's probably my favorite anime right now. I'm on the third episode of Part 2

Been watching Space Brothers, and it's honestly a DAMN good show. I seriously recommend it to everyone. It's often funny, though I have yet to find an anime that's really made me laugh consistently, but the characters in Space Brothers are honestly some of the best in television history. Every single character is more interesting than they first seem, and every single one has branching, complex relationships with the environments around them. Watching the characters open up to the screen is pretty much the best part about this show. There was one episode that was literally one of the main characters going to a ballet recital, and it was riveting from start to finish. And Mutta. Mutta is seriously the most likable character I've ever seen. The way his inner monologue is displayed is varied, entertaining, and it gets the point across super well. He's a flawed, fleshed out character that you don't ever get tired of, which is important for such a long show (99 episodes). Like when I watched Hunter x Hunter, I feel like the two main characters of that show had like 10 episodes of real development, and were otherwise often pretty stupid and predictable. And I mean that's fine, since Hunter x Hunter isn't as focused on character, but character is basically the only thing that Space Brothers uses to bring you back episode after episode. And Mutta's brother, Hibito isn't too bad either. It takes a bit longer before Hibito really gets to do something interesting, but he's definitely just as fleshed out as his brother. And considering the way the show starts, the fact that I can take a like 10-15 straight episode chain of Hibito basically alone is a serious indicator of just how strong this show's writing is. And this show also has its own cute animal friend, which is a trope that usually annoys me, but the design of the show's pug, Apo, is the funniest joke the show has going for it. But seriously if you asked me about basically any major character, I'd be able to tell you something interesting about who they are, and what they care about, with the only exceptions really being characters who are there to drive tension. For instance, there's the guy who's becoming an astronaut for his own passions, but really wants to inspire his little brother to come out of his shell at the same time. There's the guy who spent his life at work, losing contact with his daughter, who's trying to become an astronaut to impress her, and make her want to talk to him again. There's the girl who spent her whole life being just "the responsible one", and is scared to leave her stupid siblings behind. And these characters are all just part of the supporting cast. Then you have people like the director of JAXA (Japan's NASA), who talks funny, and does weird things. He always makes fun of the bald guy, who's just deadpan serious, and never does anything important. Then there's the Indian girl who's nice enough, but she's also a fortune teller, who sees dark times ahead, but takes like 20 episodes before she says what her premonition even fucking is. Then there's the one guy who's just an asshole, because he thinks he's better than everyone else. All of these characters exist solely to drive up tension, by being unpredictable, and obfuscating the protagonists' goals. Thankfully, they're in a SERIOUS minority. The vast majority of the cast is given huge depth, and interesting personalities. The other major problem this show has from time to time is that it can be PAINFULLY slow. Like ridiculously. There was one set of two whole episodes that were spent exploring backstories we already understood. We learn how this one guy met his wife (which wasn't even that interesting), and exploring the relationship between a father and daughter that we already knew the relationship of. That's two episodes IN A ROW. And those two episodes were only so long because the show wanted to make you wait before you heard whether or not a main character passed a test. Overall, I give it a 9/10. I also found this picture while looking for pictures of Mutta, and I love it:
