Actually isn't it more tasteful to have the character go out in a very heroic manner compared to just replacing the voice? It doesn't have to be replaced; the character can be written off in a different manner. "Going out in a heroic manner" does not mean "the character must be killed". Look no further than Furious 7 (which I made fun of sometime ago). I suppose, but if its what he wanted, then so be it right?

Yeah, that's something I've never understood about Telltale's determinant status or characters that are being written out.
Sometimes characters and people in the world disappear out of life's story for things other than death. Sometimes people move to Minnesota. Sometimes people join a cult and vanish off the grid. Sometimes people grow apart from their current group and latch onto another one. Death isn't the only permanent solution to a character no longer being part of a story.
I bet that it's the fans fault. They aren't happy until a character is happy and alive at the end of something or dead. There can be no in between. For fuck's sake, we're still hearing "WHEN IS MOLLY COMING BACK, WHERE IS LILLY, WHERE IS BLAH BLAH BLAH?" There can be no unknown and mystery so we always get the end-all, be-all finisher.

I was just wondering whether Bowen or Norren will be back over in GOT...

Sometimes people move to Minnesota. reverse "inside out"? Damn, had the same thought! Well, nothing keeps you remembering how good a film can be when its a good Pixar movie.

Gearbox probably had to okay this since Scooter is one of their own and since Scooter's VA is, IIRC, one of the Gearbox bigshots, they would have had to have his consent as well. And given the way Mike Neumann was gushing about Episode 4 on Twitter I think he was really satisfied with how Scooter went. All in all I'd say this was a good ending for Scooter. It also fits with Borderlands really well. There is a ton of comedy/immaturity going on that highlights the insanity of Pandora and gives plenty of laughs but every once in awhile something serious happens to make you realize that even though on the surface everything is funny it's actually pretty dark underneath that comedic mask.

August: Tell us something we don't know. Loader Bot: Did you know the damage is critical?
ffs, LB was in the episode for maybe five minutes and he still provides the quote that I can't get out of my head.
Same deal with Catch a Ride. I still find myself saying "I was a hat rack back on Helios" and "it's a mixed bag" out loud randomly.

Vaughn also gets short sided no matter what you do, but at least its a little vs none.

For once, choices ACTUALLY MATTER. The whole first halves of Eps. 3 and 4 are entirely different depending on the last choices you made in Eps. 2 and 3 respectively.
