I noticed that there wasn't an MMO thread, and given the amount of people that play MMO's I decided it'd be a good idea to make one. Personally I've been thinking of getting into EVE Online. It's a space MMO, and has had some of the largest battles in online gaming history take place in it. For example, the "Bloodbath of B-R5RB", a battle so large that they had to run everything at a special time dilation of 0.1, i.e. time passed at 10% of its usual rate, just to keep everything running fairly smoothly. The battle lasted 21 hours in real time. Apart from the massive space battles, there are lots of other amazing things about EVE. The economy is entirely player-run, and you can earn your money mining asteroids or be a space-pirate outlaw and take money from people who mine asteroids. There are large player-made factions you can be a part of, or you can just be a 'lone wolf'.

The only real MMOs I played were Runescape years ago and Guild Wars 2 every now and again.

I am ashamed to admit that recently I got back into The Old Republic, and that I've been playing quite a bit of it over the last week or so. I can't help it.

I played Tera a lot, I think I was almost on the highest level. It's a fun game I gotta say. The women don't look that bad and they have a fucking hilarious titty-bounce-engine XD (also they are half naked, which seems to be standard in these kind of games, hehe) The environment looks really good and has awesome places to visit. The combat system is good too, there are tons of skills and combinations you can do. But the addictivity is high, I'm pretty sure I played it with my friends 10 hours a day over weeks
