Just confirmed, season 2 is a thing and Beshka might be one of the POV characters.

Downloading right now, I'll play it in a few minutes. I'm curious to see how it pans out. I hope that I'll like it, since my expectations are very low, I'm likely to be surprised in a positive way.

Oh wow, this was horrendous. A new low-point for telltale. Feels like nothing I do has any influence on the whole game whatsoever. All the consequences are basically postponed to season two, seems like Telltale is just buying time.
The whole battle of ironrath feels very anti-climactic. I got the impression that there are approximately about 15-20 people living there. The whole Mira thing felt incredibly forced. She's a likeable character, but the whole storyline was very confusing and didn't really make that much sense. Characters do 180's the whole time. In episode 4 (at least in my save), Margaery hated her, in episode 5, she suddenly trusts her again. Did I miss something!? The North Grove was probably the most interesting part of the whole episode, and the bear is cute, but to me the whole game feels like it lacks focus.
We see so many characters, but most of them end up to be canon fodder for yet another dramatic death. I'm not shocked by any of them anymore. MUH TRAGEDY - I get it, but honestly, It really didn't work for me at all in this episode.
So much wasted potential. When this series was announced, I was hyped. The first three episodes were pretty good. But in the end, it feels like the complete game lacked some sort of overarching concept. This episode didn't feel like a finale at all.
In addition to that, this is the first Telltale episode where I was bothered by the really uninspired sound design. A lot of scenes were (at least on the XONE) buggy, I don't know if it's intended or not - but the ice cracking made no sound when fighting the bear, overall a lot of background noises seemed to be missing. It might be better in the other versions, but it really put me off. Annoying.
Episodes in retrospective: "Iron from Ice" - 8/10 "Lost Lords" - 9/10 "Sword in the Darkness" - 8/10 "Sons of Winter" - 6/10 "Nest of Vipers" - 4/10 "Ice Dragon" - 1/10
Overall "Game of Thrones" - 6/10
And yes, I know 1/10 is harsh. I don't judge the game by it's gameplay or the feeling. There are much, much worse games out there. But in relation to what Telltale has accomplished in the past few years, and how the whole game started out - this episode was just really terrible in terms of storytelling, coherent writing, character development. At least for me.
Sorry, guys. Don't burn me. I still love you all.

Also, Diplomacy was literally a huge part of this game. I have the feeling I spent half the time trying to figure out how to save Ironrath. In the end, it didn't make any smallest fucking difference. I could've just blindly pushed some buttons and I still would've gotten the same fucking ending. The diplomacy part wasn't even fun. Most of the time, it felt like work that may pay off if you chose the right options. No, it didn't. The whole diplomacy was a huge fuck you and a middlefinger from Telltale.

I think this game has the most mixed reviews for any Telltale game ever. I personally really liked it, (ep5 was kinda mediocre but ep1-4, 6 were really good in my eyes)

My list:
1. The Ice Dragon 2. Sons of Winter 3. The Sword in the Darkness 4. The Lost Lords 5. A Nest of Vipers 6. Iron from Ice
(I recently replayed Episodes 1-3, and it really does just feel like Iron from Ice was really awkward and trying to get its footing, so I placed it last, because at least A Nest of Vipers had some great moments, and had fully lost the awkwardness by then.)

I am always going back and forth on Nest of Vipers or Iron From Ice as last on the list. I do love them both, but while Nest of Vipers has more flaws, it does have the sacrifice scene, which was really well done. Hard choice.
