Did any of you listen in on Sera's conversation with Margaery? Sera was trying to convince her to forgive Mira and let her back in. I thought it was neat, though it's probably determinant what she says in the conversation.

Choices and stuff. Mira:- Kept Sera’s secret.
- Told Andros to stop being so bloody dramatic.
Asher:- Tried to approach Viserion.
- Showed Daenerys the tooth instead of the burns.
- Fought back against Beskha.
- Let Beskha have another drink.
- Let Beskha kill her former Slave Master.
- Told Croft to use the crossbow.
Gared:- Encountered Finn, let him come along.
- (were there any other Gared choices?)
Rodrik- Agreed to take down Gryff.
- Made out with Elaena because why the fuck not.
- Told Arthur to go back and get his soldiers.
- Missed the prompt to trip Gryff over.
- Told Gryff it was his turn for a lesson in humility.
- Hit Gryff as many times as possible then spat on him. He’s got a dead eye now.
- Told the Glenmores to remain at Ironrath.
- Told Talia to keep an eye on everyone.
- Took Royland with me, left Duncan behind (Royland is my Sentinel).
- Asked Ludd “Have you heard from Gryff recently?”
- Called Ludd’s bluff.
- ‘Welcomed’ Ramsay to Ironrath.
Thoughts:- I’m thinking Duncan is the traitor now. Elissa orders the death of the ravens meaning no traitorous messages can be sent. Ortengryn is beaten up by Gryff which I doubt they would do to a guy on their side. Royland outright kills Ludd if you order him to.
- I don’t think Elaena/Arthur/Ortengryn are dead. If they’d been killed Ramsay would’ve put it on show and TTG would’ve done the same to emphasise the cliffhanger.
- Again, I feel really bad for Talia. How hollow her voice is when she’s talking to Ramsay. I think she’s going to live, though - if they wanted to kill her they would’ve done it already.
- I don’t like that Ramsay is back, from a story perspective. He’s an invincible antagonist that is protected by canon which means there’s no hope against him. At least with Ludd and Gryff we can hope to take them out (like we got to do with Gryff) but there’s nothing we can do to stop the Boltons
- Felt like the scene transitions were a bit choppy?
- Calling it now, Sylvi is the “Ice Dragon”. That Targaryen-esque silver hair is a strange design choice.
All in all, not my favourite episode. For all intensive purposes it felt like a bridge between Episode 3 where a lot happened, and Episode 5 which will be build up for the finale. Still good, but it’s definitely behind TLL and TSITD, maybe IFI too.

With the exception of Ramsay's return, this episode seemed almost perfect. Favorite one yet.

Finn had me laughing pretty hard this episode.
"What do you think Frostfinger's gonna do once he hears you've run off with potato-fucker over here?"
"Who's this fucking snowball?"

Also, as this is the discussion specifically for spoilers, and we're on the second page now, I'm not using spoiler tags. Good? Good.

Still good, but it’s definitely behind TLL and TSITD, maybe IFI too. Really? I'm pretty sure Elissa is the traitor still. In fact, I'm sure of it. For one, she could easily have kept one bird alive, or, this is in line with my thinking of why she wouldn't want to let Ludd know anything if she was the traitor. If she's the traitor, then it's pretty clear that she was informing Ludd to keep Ryon safe. But now, they're in a position to trade for Ryon. She wouldn't want Ludd to have any news because she believes that this deal would be their best shot at getting Ryon back. I just felt pretty certain that Elissa is the traitor because of this episode. Also, I believe that Duncan also kills Ludd if you order an attack. I'm not 100% sure, I called his bluff.

Y'know, maybe the writers made that scene of the Maester getting beat up just to make you think he isn't the traitor.
lol, could be stretching it but idk

Oh, ok, that makes sense. Elissa or the Maester still, then. More than likely the first.
Anyone else think the traitor's reveal would be the cliffhanger?

My choices:
Rodrik:
-Agreed to take down Gryff -Kissed Elaena -Didn't hit Gryff at all. The "I'm not like you" line is fucking badass. Also, didn't want to do it in front of Elaena and everyone else. And I felt good enough about tripping him like Royland showed me. Didn't feel so good about beating him up while he was being held and had no means to fight back. Guess I'm just a good guy. -Told the Glenmores to remain at Ironrath. -Told Talia to rule over Ironrath. -Took Duncan to Highpoint. Not only is he my Sentinel, but it was a diplomatic mission; we needed a diplomat. Duncan kept Gryff from hurting Talia, while Royland antagonized him. Royland'd do more good protecting Ironrath with the Glenmores. -Called Ludd's bluff. A Whitehill is a Whitehill. It was Ludd's comment about Gryff only being his fourthborn that made me realize it was a bluff. Although, I really did think for a good while there that he was entirely serious about killing Ryon.
Asher:
-Tried to touch Viserion. -Showed Daenerys Drogon's tooth. -Didn't fight back against Beskha. -Took the ale away from Beskha. -Stopped Beskha from killing her former master.
Mira:
-Kept Sera's secret. -Promised Lord Tarwick I wouldn't tell anyone... Which, at least I didn't tell Lyman that I got that information form Lord Tarwick. Would have been nice if Lyman hadn't gone and told Andros that I was the one who told him Andros betrayed him.
Gared:
-Brought Finn with me -Came out of hiding, but didn't attack -Died quite a few times during the fight, not wanting to kill anyone. In fact, Gared had more injuries than Cotter, but because they were during the fight and only inflicted because I failed a few QTEs, I guess they didn't matter... -didn't kill the last Wildling. -Treated Cotter's wound.
Thoughts:
By far the best episode of the season. Not even a competition, it blows all three previous episodes out of the water as far as I'm concerned. The moment was Ryon was the most tense I've ever been with any piece of fiction(TV show, interactive series, videogame, anything), and I have the applaud them for... well, every single moment was great.
A fantastic opening, I love how Finn could vouch for Gared, or throw him to the wolves. I loved all of Asher's segments. The fight with Beskha was great, and the subsequent conversation was a pretty big shock, and kind of a big 'feels' moment.
Everything with Rodrik, just fucking everything. I loved the moments with him and Elaena, and I really like Elaena as a character. The moment with Gryff was fucking perfection.
Everything in Meeren was great. And, let me just say this now, they stepped up their game with the QTEs. With TWD, they feel pointless, and a little intrusive, but like with TWAU, in GoT, they actually succeed with what they're meant to do, draw me in and make me feel part of the action. The fights are really well choreographed, too. and I liked how you got different moments depending on your choices both in and out of action sequences. Very, very good job on that front.
And back to Meeren as a whole, the part with the master, and that final bit near the end. Perfection. No complaints.
God, even Mira's bits were pretty damn great this episode. got to see more of Morgryn, if only briefly, and I think Mira is finally beginning to interest me as a protagonist. She's starting to play the game, and as Morgryn says, King's Landing is rubbing off on her. The eavesdropping part and navigating the conversations actually felt really good, rather than my usual feeling of floundering and fucking shit up. I'm... actually kind of looking forward to a Mira-centric episode with Episode 5.
Being beyond the wall was good, the aforementioned QTEs, and the tension between Gared's little group. going to go with Jayko, Sylvi could be the "Ice Dragon". Her design is quite interesting. Can't wait to see how this all concludes in the next two episodes. Mostly episode 6, I presume.
The only, only thing I wasn't really a fan of was Ramsay's appearance at the end, or more specifically, what it could mean in Episode 5. Being honest, the reveal was done expertly, so I don't think fault lies with Episode 4... but it most certainly will spell ruin for the Rodrik POVs in Episode 5.
So, this, without a doubt the best episode that Telltale has ever done for any series, to my mind, at least. However, because of Ramsay... I get a feeling we'll be left with another typical sub-par Telltale Penultimate episode. And, I actually quite liked Amid the Ruins, but still, in the eyes of most people, it was a complete failure. And of course, I didn't really like In Sheep's Clothing or Around Every Corner. Spun their wheels. and with what seems to be a largely Mira focused episode with what will undoubtedly be some very frustrating Rodrik POVs.... yeeeeaaaah....

Beating the shit out of the Maester just to draw suspicion away from him being the traitor is far too clever from Gryff, and even so it's generally a bad idea to beat the shit out of the one guy who's giving you all of your enemy's secrets, especially so viciously as Gryff did. I totally believe that Telltale would put the scene in to make it more surprising, but from a story perspective it seems way too out there for me to buy, and I hope Telltale realizes that.

I still don't like this more than TWDS1, due to S1's insanely good characterization (Gared may be the best badass in Westeros, but Ben Paul still impacts me far more), but this is the best SINGLE episode TTG has made yet.
