Well, it looks like it won't be a prequel to season 2 like focusing on Clem and Christa during the 16 months gap or the cabin group before they escaped Carver's after all. Still, if the comic is gonna be involved in this DLC, I don't know if I'll play it and if it's gonna be related to season 3, I'm not holding my breath about the dlc's choices having consequences in season 3.

Jesus' origin story.
Formation of the Kingdom/King Ezekiel's Origin story.
Wait.... Actually... Kirkman has been teasing that we'd see Negan's origin in something separate from the comics.
If it's more than one Episode, then it could be four, for the four communities in the D.C. Safezone.
Jesus and the Hilltop.
Ezekiel and the Kingdom.
Negan and the Sanctuary.
...Uh.... Douglas and Alexandria? Or... Davidson? Heath? Aaron? Not sure.
I'm pretty excited still. Seems like it won't affect the main series, so I'm cool with that. Plus, having characters from the comics written by Telltale will be an improvement no matter what.

Jesus: Roger Craig Smith (Sonic, Ezio, Chris from Resident Evil) Ezekiel: Dave Fennoy Negan: Patrick Warburton Aaron: Ross Farrquad (Plays him in the TV show.)

At least it's something fresh. I was hoping for Cabin Group stuff but this is okay too. Well it also means that they probably won't riddle ITF with holes, probably

Pinball jokes are far more annoying than they are funny.

Roger Craig Smith actually would be a pretty good Jesus, and Dave Fennoy would be awesome for Ezekiel. Not convinced about Patrick Warburton as Negan. Also, if it is Aaron, then obviously Ross Marrquand should play him, but like I said, it could be a number of people. Also, it could be not at all what I suggested.

To be fair, some comic characters did appear in Season 1. Lily was supposed to be from the comics but they retconned her into being an original character once Kirkman released a book after the first few episodes where her backstory from the book was different from the game's backstory. That's also ignoring Glen and Hershel who made cameos in Episode 101.
Also, to be fair, from what I hear the comics seem to have better writing than the show. I don't read the comics and I stopped watching the show after Season 3, but I'm willing to give this a chance. I think they could take this in an interesting direction. Even if people want to beat a dead horse and say that no Jake Rodkin/Sean Vannaman means no good writing, I think it will be interesting to see how Telltale characterizes previously established characters considering people say the game's writing is better than the show/comics.

The show's writing increases alot with the new showrunner after Season 3. The comics are alright nowadays but not as good as they used to be.

Job said it's "bigger than 400 Days," don't forget. It could be a mini series with characters from the comics or something if Job's previous teasers are any indication. My hype dropped because of the mention of the comics being involved; I prefer the game being its own separate entity. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the comics or anything (I actually read them whenever I can get hold of the next volume) but I would've preferred something new. Hopefully any comic stuff only has about as much impact as Glenn and Hershel in A New Day. It was fine for A New Day AND ONLY A NEW DAY! It was just a crutch for a single episode, and hell they didn't even go overboard, we don't need it!

Oh there are still good writers beside Jake and Sean, GOT and TFTBL are proof enough, and hell, Nick Brecken was pretty great in my opinion.

The Comics are nowhere near as good as the show. Like, not even close. And even with Season Two having some major problems, I'd still say that as a whole, both seasons, Telltale's Series is also better than the comics.
