To be fair, some comic characters did appear in Season 1. Lily was supposed to be from the comics but they retconned her into being an original character once Kirkman released a book after the first few episodes where her backstory from the book was different from the game's backstory. That's also ignoring Glen and Hershel who made cameos in Episode 101. Also, to be fair, from what I hear the comics seem to have better writing than the show. I don't read the comics and I stopped watching the show after Season 3, but I'm willing to give this a chance. I think they could take this in an interesting direction. Even if people want to beat a dead horse and say that no Jake Rodkin/Sean Vannaman means no good writing, I think it will be interesting to see how Telltale characterizes previously established characters considering people say the game's writing is better than the show/comics. The show's writing increases alot with the new showrunner after Season 3. The comics are alright nowadays but not as good as they used to be. Have you read the most recent comics? They're shit. Absolute shit. All Out War was the best arc, and A New Beginning started off okay, but the very most recent ones are shit.

I can't stand the storylines, dialogue, or writing of the very most recent issues. Funnily enough, Kirkman's been doing great with Outcast.

Maybe he's half-arsing on with TWD because it's his cash cow and focusing on other projects like Outcast which he might enjoy more?

I've heard from my Uncle that Invincible has been pretty great lately, too. I mean, with having to balance The Walking Dead(TV and Comics), Outcast(TV and Comics), Invincible, and Thief of Thieves(TV), along with a ton of other little projects, it makes sense that one would suffer, so why not his cash cow that no one would stop buying if it took a bit of a dip in quality?

I'm not really into the Superhero stuff, but my brother's a big Invincible fan, and he says it's pretty good.

I'm not really into the Superhero stuff, but my brother's a big Invincible fan, and he says it's pretty good. Dude, Invincible is fucking great. I don't like Superhero stuff either, and trust me, I've been exposed to it. My Uncle who gets me comics is obsessed with Superhero stuff. He's been trying to get me into superhero stuff since I was like, 5. Just never liked it much. But Invincible is just so good. I mean, for one, it doesn't really seem like most superhero stuff. Old Superhero stuff is stupid, and the new stuff is like, ashamed of that and tries to be so fucking serious. Invincible is just doing its thing, and I love that about it, that it seems like it just is what it is. Also, the characters are all really great, and the story is intriguing, as should be expected with Robert Kirkman. And he manages to balance an insanely large cast much better in Invincible than he ever did in The Walking Dead. I'm on book 7 now, so still veeeery far behind where it is now, but I've heard that the current storyline is really good.

If I had to put money on my guess, it would probably be that, Kirkmen simply doesn't care.

DLC not about pre-existing characters from the game.
And that officially closes the book on season 2. Not even bringing the story and how it progressed into the discussion, what a god damn shitshow, character-wise. Probably the rawest deals in the history of raw deals.
The comic is the comic. I'll play it and I'll probably think it's awesome once it's done and played; however, right now my hype is close to flat-lined.

Well, 400 Days was the same deal, and that was great(one of the best episodes imo, it's just a shame they pretty much lied about how much it would affect season 2)

They should have used him!
