S2
So, here is my S2 review. When I first started playing, I was so excited. Maybe shaking a little. When I got to the part where Michelle shoots Omid, I thought she missed. I was disappointed when she didn't. Then when I got to the cabin, I absolutely hated the new characters, especially Nick and Rebecca. Then later, I saved Nick over Pete, because 1. I thought Pete was bit and 2. I was starting to like Nick. When I finished, I thought that it was sooo worth the money. The action scenes are great, the characters are interesting...
I give it a 9/10.
+Action sequences +Characters +References to S1 +Story -Time skip -A little short
Now, that's how much I liked it. Here's a review of what it deserved to get.
7.5/10.
+Characters +Replayability +Action -Short -Bad writing

At this point, I say 8.5, it was just an 8, but the more I think about it, it was not that bad, I still hate Omid dying so fast, the time skip, and the lack of slowing down and talking to these people.

Shit, totally same here. It was a weak 8 at the beggining, but after I played it the second time, I like it a little better and score jumpded to 8,5 to me. I can live with time skip, but not with Omid dying. It was too fast, man.

Yeah I feel the same, the time skip okay, Omid dying so fast, no, I want to learn more about these guys, the reason why the characters feel so flat, is because we can't talk to them, remember Kenny for the first time? We learned he was a fishermen, that he loves his kid, where he lives, little odds and ins that made us grow attached.

Right now, I hope Kenny is alive and will be with Clem for the rest of this season. It would be good to have a character from season 1 with us to experience the nostalgia.

I doubt he will last the season, that is the sad thing that I believe most people here wanting Kenny have not thought of, you saw how quickly they killed Omid, what is stopping them from killing Kenny again? I say show him alive, then make him leave, at least we will know he is alive and will never die on screen.

I was okay with Omid's death. It happened so fast, it didn't really fully register at first, but the more I think about it, the sadder it feels. The fact that it was pretty much just an accident and was so avoidable made it tragic and the way it was done so quickly and unceremoniously really hit home the point that in that world, a single misfortune or mistake is all it takes to destroy everything you have. Damn door.
Also, the thing with Omid dying at the very beginning of the game might be a bit symbolic considering that his name means "Hope."
Overall, I'll still give the episode an 8/10 though because they choices were damn easy and some of the sequences dragged on a bit. BTW, anyone else notice that they really seem to like the number 4 over there at Telltale? Every repeated action you had to do, 4 times was always the max. Makes sense because 4 is the number for death, but it's still kinda weird.

Odd, my favorite number is 4, well I did not know that. Wait, Omid means hope? How we not know that?

The four thing is mostly in Asian cultures (I think the word for 4 is pronounced the same way as the word for death in Japanese), but it's spread a little bit into western culture.
And yeah, "Omid" is the Persian word for hope. So basically, 10 minutes into the first episode of the season, they killed off Hope. And probably Hope Jr as well.

Well that really is ironic is a depressing way, I should look up these character names, it most likely spells out there personality.

Well, we'll probably have more bonding time in Ep. 2, considering they know we're not bitten so we can interact with them more.

Yeah, I am sure we will get those slow down learn your life story's moments, its still a bit jarring for the first episode, but at least its a fixable issue, all the issues could be fixed in time, except for Omid dying, that sadly is a permanent thing.

Y'know, Telltale goes really deep with the deaths in the walking dead series, but not many people actually pick up on how deep it is.

They really do, I admit Omid dying was likely deep, but I still hated it.
