Most of the characters were undeveloped and easily forgettable, the way some of them died was really stupid like Nick's second death, Luke and Sarah's second death. I really never cared about the cabin group because of how undeveloped they were, din't even shed a tear at their deaths. Hell, it's a bigger insult that all of them are dead, with no survivors at all.
400 Days had no impact on season 2 besides seeing Roman's corpse, Tavia and the cameos from the 400 Days characters which really amounted to nothing and Bonnie got a important role than them.
Some of the choices barely mattered in this season, I think season 1's choices and TWAU's choices mattered more than these choices, episode 5 din't even have a special stats screen like the other finales from season 1 and TWAU. I saved Nick in episode 2 just for him to have 10 or 11 lines, be silent, get shot, see him again as a walker and kill him. And saving Sarah doesn't change anything at all, you barely talk to her after she gets saved and then dies just to give another example that weak people don't deserve to live and only the cruel, heartless, badass motherfuckers are the winners. What a joke. Oh, and let's not forget that giving water to the guy who attacked Christa din't matter at all cause we never see him again, I din't steal from Arvo and still attacks the group and accuses Clem of stealing. No matter what you say to the characters, they'll treat you the same no matter what. Rebecca doesn't bring up the time I threatened her about telling Alvin about the baby's father.
The whole thing between Kenny and Luke was for nothing, they kept hinting that there will be some big choice in which we have to save either Kenny or Luke and it ends right after Luke dies and it gets replaced by Kenny and Jane which came out of fucking nowhere. Let's be honest, how much did those two interact in episodes 3 and 4 than Kenny and Luke did? Sure, it would of been predictable if the final choice was Kenny and Luke but it wouldn't of been out of nowhere.
Omid and Christa were in this season for like 10 minutes and Omid gets killed off and Christa goes missing for the entire season and we never find out if she is still alive or not.
The Carver plot ended way too early and I think they should of kept him around till episode 4 or 5 and have some big fight/war between Clem and the cabin group and Carver and his gang. Hell, they should of scrapped Arvo and the russians and replace them with Carver's gang led by Tavia and with the 400 Days characters being there aswell.
As for Kenny, I think many people have already discussed about this and of course, I agree that Kenny shouldn't have been the main focus and it probably would of been for the best if he stayed dead in season 1.
And my last complaint is Clem being a protagonist. They treated her being a protagonist fine in S02E01, but later in the other episodes, the group treats Clem like a freaking adult and have her do stuff for them like going with Luke to check the bridge, her being the one to sneak around Carver's to escape and of course, the fucking wind turbine. Oh yeah, and her kicking the door open like Bigby. I know that Clem is supposed to be the protagonist and all, but they shouldn't have made the adults look so damn incompetent to the point where I wonder how they managed to survive 2 years in the apocalypse.
I really doubt they're gonna make the 5 endings matter that much in season 3, especially with determinant Kenny/Jane. I wouldn't be shocked if they get killed off after 10 minutes of season 3 just like with Omid and it leads to Clem being with AJ just like in the Alone ending. To be honest, I would prefer if Clem's story ended in season 2 but from since they said that the 5 endings will matter in season 3, this means that they're gonna continue her story in season 3.
This is what I want for season 3:
-Don't kill off the entire group just like seasons 1 and 2, have atleast 5 or 6 members alive and to be developed.
-Don't make Clem the protagonist of season 3.
-No more returning characters who are unknown or believed to be dead. Maybe Christa, Mike, Bonnie(even though she is determinant) and Arvo okay, but not other people like Lilly and Molly. And I really doubt we are gonna see Nate and Eddie again.
-Have some choices actually matter just like in season 1 and give the determinants the silent treatment.
Damn, that was a long rant.
